Why do cliche characters like "the mean rich girl who is only there to make things harder" still exist?
If she didn't have the lipstick she'd probably be a sex object for /co/
These kinds of characters are always the hottest part of a show
It's better when the mean, rich girl is the main character.

Because they exist in real life

I kinda support the MCU and Aunt May ship. I mean, I think it's kinda weird, but I think it'd be interesting too.

Aunt May's a slut

It's so weird to me how Aunt May was fuckable in CW. Just feels wrong.
I'm still pretty butthurt about this.

I'm butthurt about the entire event
I don't like when Universal Ignorance is a power
When a universe has specific rules and then a character shows up in that universe and then disregards reality despite being in a completely different one without actually having reality bending powers
Things like Mr. Mxyzptlk are different because it's not a new universe it's just a different dimension within that universeI'm talking about Hostess dimension
Any Valiant readers in here? I picked up the first TPB of "The Valiant" and am looking to get X-O Manowar, Bloodshot and Harbinger
>>82806360
I've read every current Valiant issue so far.Except for this and last weeks'. I'm going to buy 4001 AD, and I haven't found the time to pirate the others.Yet here I am in 4chan, I know. I'll go back to work.
Oh, if you want to do what I did and read everything, I recommend doing so by release date. Here's a handy table of every issue so far.
http://www.valiantdatabase.com/releases/veibydate/table
Not everything's a must read though. A lot of people skip on Shadowman, for example. I mostly enjoyed it though.
Also planning on reading classic Valiant. Read a few issues, but I want to go through all of it too.

Is this worth reading if I'm interested in webcomics right now, or is it outdated as fuck?
Are there any more recent books on the subject?
I thought that Scott McCloud's Understanding Comics was pretty decent. His others were fairly good, although not necessarily immediately relevant. The Animator's Survival Kit by Richard Williams is a big thick tome which, while geared towards animation, can give you ideas for character poses.
I'm not familiar with the book you posted. I could be informative, or it could be a waste of time. I'm honestly not sure what the history of webcomics specifically would have to offer. I would think that general information would be more relevant for a potential webartist, although I suppose the book might offer some insights or information that I'm not aware of.
>>82806204
Just like webcomics themselves man it's not worth reading.

What if they had adapted Mark Milliars ultimates and ultimates 2 as the avengers films instead of what we got?
Hack Snyder would've jumped at the chance to direct edgy tryhard shit, and DC would be on top instead.

>Bad guy becomes popular amongst fans
>Becomes good guy as an excuse to stick around
Kinda loses the charm it once had when it happens so often
Depends on how it's written and how they act as a good guy compared to how they were before.
A good example is Vegeta
>DBZ
Say what you will, he's a good example of a villain who turns good. He stays a huge asshole but slowly warms up to the other characters. He still shows his old tendencies, but also shows that he has grown past them and as a person...sorta.I haven't watched Super, so if he's shit in that, I dunno.
>>82805610
>tfw people never understand why Vegeta is such a cunt
>>82805152
really depends how bad they are
if they're sadistic but charming guy it won't work because you have to take out his sadistic nature
if they're more petty and just kind of a dick it works because you could just turn them into a rival like Vegata or Hiei

Since /cgl/ are oversensitive babies, what is the worst kind of cosplay? Post the worse offenders of
>Masculine men and neckbeards dressing like girls (because so wacky!)
>Rule 63/Gender swaps
>Steampunk merging anything
>Star Wars merging anything
>all of the above, etc
>>82804902
People who don't try.
>>82804902
Why don't you like fun, OP? Who hurt you?
I'd say Steampunk, in all but a few cases.
Neckbeards dressing like girls can be amusing when they're full bear mode and dressed as someone like Sailor Moon.
Gender swaps are good when there's a group with someone for both genders. Like that male Elsa needs a male Anna and a female Hans.
Star Wars is similar to steampunk in this regard, but not as overt.
I'm going to go with fat people trying to cosplay non fat characters.

I don't mean is it good compared to the original, but is it good on its own?

It's funny
All the people complaining it about being annoying are actually pretty annoying themselves so really if you want to see if you like this, sit down and watch it.
Very hit and miss.
Some episodes are actually hilarious while others are fucking awful. And some are just okay.
It's got a very inconsistent level of quality.
