When did you realize the Marvel Cinematic Universe was complete bullshit?
I actually loved this moment. It had great delivery
>>82788485
When I realized my opinions were subjective and not objective facts.
Too bad I'm not OP though.
>>82788485
There is literally nothing wrong with that scene or the logic behind it.
Going for this when there are so many examples of genuine bullshit you COULD use is perplexing.
Movie aside for a moment, how do you feel about the Civil War arc in the comics? I read it during high school and was impressed at the time, but re-reading it, I'm left with mixed feelings
I bought a hardcover edition of it during Free Comic Book Day since the movie was coming out and I wanted to spend some money at the store.
Re-read it that same day.
It's a terrible story. It really is. I remember being on Scans Daily when it first startedshut up, like 80 percent of /co/ used to post thereand the popular consensus we had at the time was that it was a out of character mess.
And it is. Big time. Iron Man, Richards, and Pym just come off as straight up evil.
There's a scene where Punisher guns down two villains in cold blood in front of Spider-man, Captain America and like a dozen other supes and they do nothing about it.
Some of the tie ins were okay I guess.
I like what came after Civil War more than the story itself - Avengers Initiative, Ellis' Thunderbolts, etc.
>>82788504
Iron Man does definitely come off as evil, but Richards...care to explain? I honestly can't remember his character much
From the few Marvel comics i read, Reed comes off as a workaholic and a dick who neglects his wife. In the Illuminati roundtable he pretty much agrees with Stark straightaway saying it's the most logical choice to support the new policy.
In Marvel Zombies, he intentionally infects his wife and friends because he believes it's the next step in human evolution, soon getting mauled to death by them, so he can feel it first hand.
Is the 2008 Hulk movie MCU Canon? Is it any good? I've never seen it.
Is Hulk even any good as a main character regardless of medium, or is he only decent when used as a supporting character? Referring to him on Earth by the way, Planet Hulk was decent but basically was tailor made for Hulk to work as a character, though there's nothing wrong with that I guess.
>Is the 2008 Hulk movie MCU Canon?
The Tony Stark cameo would say yes.
Now we must ask ourselves - is the Ang Lee film MCU Canon?
>>82788283
Nope
I noticed there are contrarians these days that claim that boring piece of shit was better than Norton's Hulk
>>82788260
The Hulk is ACTUALLY the main character in a lot of Hulk stories. That title goes to Bruce Banner.
In a sense the Hulk is a supporting character in his own comic, a separate character and personality that inhabits the same body that Banner does.
ITT: shows that would be better off without the MC
>>82788199
That show wouldve been better if it were dead, or if it was an DIRECT SEQUEL TO AVATAR LIKE THEY FUCKING PROMISED TO US FOR YEARS!!!!!!!!!!
>>82788213
>DIRECT SEQUEL TO AVATAR
the comics are bullcrap though.

>Caused his superhero team to split
>His remaining team comprises guy whom he accidentally paralyzed, an untrustworthy woman who doesn't want to be there, a robot who follows his every command and a teenager he's bribing/blackmailing
>Husbandu chose to save his parents killer over him, and became a fugitive
>Other husbandu in a wheelchair thanks to him
>Long term girlfriend broke up with him
>Still plagued by guilt over Sokovia
Has a live action superhero ever hit this kind of rock bottom? How is Tony going to pick himself up?
i think we all know this can only end in alcoholism
>>82788009
And then we get a cinematic adaptation of "Demon in a Bottle", thereby adding "emotional addiction recovery journey" to the list of genres that cape films will make better.
If there's one actor who can portray a man getting addicted to things its probably RDJ.
>Crane Mother is a drug dealer
>Steel Serpent/Davos is a drug
>Iron Hobo
>Colleen not a redhead
Is anyone else concerned about Iron Fist Netflix?
>>82787678
Does it have Master Khan?
If not then yes.
>>82787678
As long as his thing with Misty is both cute and animalistic, I don't mind
>>82787786
Misty is only going to be in Luke Cage iirc.
"she must be the other"
Did anything ever come of that bullshit?
It was an Empire Strikes Back gag, not much to get.
>>82787654
The writers seriously forgot.
Shame, it suggested a grand mythology.
>>82787875
I'm glad I was right to ignore Futurama when it came back on CS.

Why did he hate unions?
>>82787461
He ciewed his employees as a family, with himself as the stern yet loving patriarch who cannot be questioned. Perhaps naively, he took it as a personal betrayal when his workers unionized.
>>82787461
He was cheap as fuck and a ruthless businessman.
Politics wise he also hated anything communist and viewed unions as an extension of them.
>>82787461
he hated everything. especially unions Jew's and blacks, hopefully he never employed a black Jew who wanted to unionize
So they're canon in the mainverse as well now?
Distancing Harley from the joker was a mistake.
>we want the tumblr crowd
>>82787371
Distancing Joker from Harley is the best thing he has going for him right now.
Harley keeps dragging Joker down into the gutter with her and it pisses me off.
Post based Franco-Belgian comics.
>he has been manipulating key events in the MCU from behind the scenes
Will he finally reveal himself as the one above all in Infinity war?
>>82787143
Stop this.
He's clearly the Watcher. Feige is The One Above All.
If anything his Infinity War role will be giving Strange a rallying pep talk on the moon.
>>82787143
If he doesn't die first?
>>82787589
>He's clearly the Watcher.
Stop this too. The guy can't see anymore, making him The Watcher is a dick move.
