Is there a reason behind why Bruce turned his "adopted sons" into Robins?
Only thing I can think of is that the comic culture in the 70s that it was neat having a sidekick.
Also weren't all of the Robins right now resented being a Robin at some point? Despite knowing this why do they still keep being related to Bruce when they could just easily forget about it? Is it their way of saying thanks for giving them a purpose or something?
>>87604090
Robin was introduced in 1940
>>87604090
Isn't it Justice for Dick using a name his mother had for him.
And then afterwards it was Bruce trying to fill the hole left behind by dick and then Tim taking it up after Jason died. Then Steph taking it up after Tim got grounded by his dad with Tim taking it back after she was fired and "died" and then Dick replacing Tim with Damian.
They all resent Bruce rather then robin itself, with Tim resenting both Dick and Bruce.
>>87604174
>Steph
Who?
>They all resent Bruce
It's because they can't live normal lives/won't be able to live normal lives anymore right?
>Tim resenting both Dick and Bruce
Can you please explain?

There definitely some diffs here, you just have to find them!

We're updating every day this week, so come back tomorrow!
(For the sake of not missing an update)
Dafug are the differences? Tom claimed on twitter there definitely are differences but it's hard to tell if he's trolling.
>>87604423
considering tom, the differences are probably that ones on the left, ones in the middle, and ones on the right
>>87604423
Can't you see them? Wow!
You must be super blind.
I have super awesome eyes, so all those great differences are totally obvious and super visible to me.
Romance in cartoons is often looked down as cringey and time consuming but what are your favorite /co/ romances that are done well?
>>87603939
MJ and Peter in JMS Spider-Man
Basically any lead romance in a Garth Ennis book
Buddy and his wife in Morrison's Animal Man
>>87603939
I've never ever been satisfied by romance in /co/ shit. I'm very rarely satisfied by romance ever en though I love it conceptually.
If you want good pure romance cartoon watch Angel's Friends
Superwoman is the worst book in Rebirth. Prove me wrong.
It has the best artstyle for fapping
Justice League still exist.
Sadly.
That's not Justice League.
How do you feel about relatable tween characters?
>>87603766
Those aren't tweens, they are straight up teenagers on the far end.
>>87603778
If even that. They could very well be early 20s.
Did OP mean the target audience?
Not a tween, can't relate.
Apologize

No thread on the Valérian and Laureline movie?
After the heavy """""""inspiration""""""" from Moebius in Besson's Fifth Element he's going straight to the source and directly adapting the essential Franco-Belgian sci-fi series
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxH45ivUomw
>Live Action
>Ciara
And I've seen enough.
>comic called Valérian and Laureline
>movie called Valérian and The City of a Thousand Planets
Uh oh
>>87603819
"Valérian" was the initial name for the series, Laureline wasn't added to the title until later.
Forgive the CBR watermark but I thought /co/ would want to see this
It's the D-Man issueHe likes the D

I swear I thought that the new Falcon was Aaron Stack at first
It's been a very emotional week, so let's all unwind with the comfiest comic of all time: Scary Go Round a.k.a. BAD MACHINERY. What's going on at the Chamber of Commerce? Can Amy land on her feet in the face of such pitiless gentrifying? Will Shauna and Lottie find common ground ever again? Find out in THE CASE OF THE SEVERED ALLIANCE except probably not for a few more weeks still
"Aw man, I'm so glad to see you again bro, we're going to have so much fun together, it'll be just like old times. Sorry I went a little crazy back there, but we'll start fresh and just live our lives like good people!"
>>87602771
Also, why is she the undisputed best girl? Not sure why I waited so long to watch Korra, but damn it was a lot better than I expected. I just kind of wish it had a little less relationship drama
>>87602771
They both knew that simply wasn't an option.
>>87602831
Why though? The people were all about his movement, he was doing good according to the majority, and Korra was able to give people their bending back anyway. They didn't NEED to murder/suicide, hell, if anything couldn't Noatak have used his own bloodbending to take away his own bending to atone for what he had done? What harm is he if he can't bend anymore?
I'm here to ask to some of you who might like Cass but are not blinded by complete waifufaggotry, could a movie focused solely on Cass work?
So I have this friend and he is obsessed with Cassandra Cain and he's always talking about how awesome she is and how bad-ass she is and shit like that. Most of it I'm sure it's just waifuism but one of these days he came to me with this idea that a Cass movie could be really good and after giving some thought I came to the conclusion that yeah, it could work if done right, I mean like one of those obscure asian martial arts films. But i don't know much about her except for what I've read in No Man's Land and on wikipedia.
>>87602702
>No Man's Land
>Cass
A Cass movie can definitely work, but will inevitable be hijack by GURL POWAH SLAYER QUEEN people
Also No Man's Land is not the best of stories for Cass
>>87602702
Depends on how solely you mean.
There NEEDS to be Batman to some degree unless it's a stealth Batman movie in which it's Pre-Batgirl/mute assassin Cass. Which would basically make it Jet Li's unleashed except with a girl and Bob Hoskin and Morgan Freeman's characters are rolled into one.
>>87602702
needs to be a black and white silent film
So I really enjoy the line-up, but why exactly aren't these all just part of Vertigo?
Why make a new imprint?
>>87602304
Vertigo is exclusively non-DCU now.
I'm thinking the answer is tied to Gerard Way.
Maybe it was so he could have the control he does, or maybe there's something about ownership that's different from Vertigo, or maybe it was part of his contract negotiations.
Because Vertigo is now for creator-owned titles.
Lets talk about and rank the Laika movies.
1. Paranorman.
2. Coraline.
3. Kubo.
Haven't seen Boxtrolls, is it worth checking out?
>>87602212
Is pretty good.
Really nice to watch how Laika's improving in each movie.
>>87602248
This
The difference (technology wise) between Paranormal and Kubo is almost night and day, these people are pretty much the perfect example of "do it again, but better"
I see many anons here say that Bat books have been disappointing so far and even outside of /co/ fans don't seem to enjoy them much.
So, what the problems these books suffer from? And how can you improve the line?
>>87602077
Remove King and his BLACKED blonde fetish.
>>87602077
Batman, Detective Comics and All Star Batman are all mediocre, but I don't think something needs to be done. This is a phase, it will get better, but until that moment don't buy them.
Batman books were never awesome 100% of time, as long as they are not awful they will suvive
>>87602077
>what the problems these books suffer from?
they came off the coat tails of Rebirth and Batman finding Comedian's badge embedded in the batcave. made people expect something big gonna happen.
but every story so far is fairly cleanly resolved at the end with no sense of something being built up to. All the new characters are just there as new recruits and have little to do with each threat after their introduction
King's book in particular was disappointing after how emotionally brutal his Vision was
I'm enjoying Nightwing but, and I don't say this lightly because decompression in a blight on many books, it's going to fast
Damn, disney not even trying to hide it anymore.
>>87601297
That snowman is one of the worst quirky nonhuman sidekick characters ever.
People compare Frozen and Tangled, look how much better Tangled was in that regard with a Horse and a Chameleon.
Maybe a big part of that was they didn't fucking talk as well as being a pair of badasses.
>>87601328
Kids like olaf more than the Horse and a Chameleon.
>>87601367
Kids are idiots
