Did he have a different voice too?
Imagine if he saw the way he's portrayed nowadays!
>>88508730
Been forever since I saw the original episodes but I think he had a really deep voice. Far as personality, he was just a generic space pirate. I don't think he had a wacky accent or anything like that.
You never seen that Brak Show episode where Space Ghost wants him dead before his crime happens?

Here you go
I really can't stand Crossed. The fact that people like it confounds me. It's just edge all day, every day with no point to it.
Like, I get they wanted a twist on the whole "Zombie apocalypse" spiel, but it's just 28 days later with more fucking, cuss words and implied pedophilia. It's like fucking shadman wrote it.
I liked Camp Lazlo

Got one? Good. The series that character originates from gets an animated adaptation on the animation network of your choice/on Netflix/on whatever. If they had an animated adaptation in the past, they get a new series. How do you react?
>Shantae
>On Cartoon Network
On one hand it might actually be good, but on the other, it'd be utter shit. Either way, it'd almost never get any reruns amidst the ocean of Teen Titans GO! episodes that get shoved down our throats, and it'd get canceled due to "poor ratings".
>On Nickelodeon
Basically the same thing, except that you'd replace TTG! with Spongebob, and have that retarded "26 episodes to a season" caveat that they bogged down shows like Power Rangers with. It'd definitely hurt the pacing if they had to cram or expand each game to fit that limit.
>On Disney/Disney XD
It'd have much better chances of having some longevity, but it'd get censored out the ass. Even then, it'd probably get forgotten about if it doesn't meet their ratings expectations and sent to a death slot during the weekdays.
>On Netflix
Probably has the most creative freedom here, and there's no weekly release schedule. On the other hand, the wait for a new season would be torture, as Netflix does season-by-season releases, and a full season's worth of animation takes anywhere from several months to over a year to produce, and people would have likely blown through all of the first season in a matter of hours.
And that's not even getting to whatever studio gets hired to animate it. You could luck out and get the guys from Boulder Media Limited, Mercury Filmworks, or somehow land fucking Studio Mir... or you could get shafted and end up with modern Cartoon Network Studios.
>Psychunauts cartoon.
>Monster of the week thing where the camp has a different monster or problem every episode.

Maybe this is a good thing? 2016 has been shit to everything. Let Samurai Jack start with a fresh year.
Why did he agree to move from DC, where his work was at it's lowest a 6/10, to Marvel where he's spread out across ten different ongoings.
Was he just a shit writer that had a lucky break and wanted to capitalize on it?
Keep company wars out of it.

Does he write Star Wars?
>>88507568
Who?
I remember years ago when I was on Newgrounds (Note to self, check out Newgrounds again), how whenever the subject of cartoons came up, the subject tended to be how much they sucked at the time in comparison to the 90s.
Now, today there really is a good selection of cartoons, and only those who can't take off their nostalgia glasses cant see that things are pretty decent right now... BUT, at the time, was that a true statement?
Was there really a dark age of cartoons between the 'regular show/MLP/adventure time' modern era and the 90s/early 2000s? Or were people just nostalgia fagging over Beast Wars and whatever?
There were people spouting that stuff even back in the 90s, Anon.
The only "dark age" of animation in the mid-to-late-oughties was for Cartoon Network - the ATHF Boston bomb scare (google it if you don't know) led to the blame getting thrown further and further upstairs until some higher-up got replaced by Stu Snyder, who used to be /co/'s favorite whipping boy. The old Cartoon Cartoons were fazed out, and they promoted cheaper alternatives like Canadian flash cartoons or "CN Real", their short-lived foray into live-action programming/reality TV.
BUT, that having been said, there were still other good-to-great cartoons airing on other networks at the time. Hell, while CN was having their meltdown, Avatar The Last Airbender was airing on Nick. So no, the "cartoons just USED TO BE BETTER" argument was always bullshit.
>>88507157
>ATHF Boston bomb scare
>after the Boston Police Department and the Boston Fire Department mistakenly identified battery-powered LED placards resembling two "Mooninite" characters from the Adult Swim animated television series Aqua Teen Hunger Force as improvised explosive devices.
>After the devices were removed, the Boston Police Department stated in their defense that the ad devices shared "some characteristics with improvised explosive devices," which they said included an "identifiable power source, a circuit board with exposed wiring, and electrical tape."
Holy fucking shit, you colonials never fail to impress.
>>88507742
The ATHF guys made light (heh) of it later with an episode of their show... which was never completely animated nor aired because the higher-ups pulled the plug. Fortunately, it leaked earlier this year.
