Why is Gravity Falls largely regarded as the best cartoon of the decade? The story aspect is overrated because 90% of the episodes are monster of the week or one of the Pines twins trying to get laid. A lot can be said about the characters but any show where one character can brainwash two teenagers to commit rape by proxy and get told she did a good thing while another character gets a few girl's phone numbers and is treated like he's the antichrist has some seriously fucked up priorities. Also the motivations of characters seem to change with the direction of the plot, Gideon was a power hungry sociopath who had been waiting an entire season to get revenge on Dipper but all Dipper needs to do is tell him that the only way he'll get laid is to be a nice guy and Gideon is ready to go and fight a god.

Jake could solo the Lich, but not without the emotional support of Finn. That's Jake's weak point, he simply isn't a strong of a person as Finn is. It's why they work together so well. Finn isn't even a tenth as powerful as Jake is, but Jake doesn't have a tenth of Finn's resolve.

Is there a show with more of a love hate division than camp lazlo? Depending on who you ask it was either the last great cartoon cartoon network released before their dry spell of 2005-2010 or it was one of the reasons why CN went to shit during those years.

Sony Spider-Man movies are the Donner Superman films of our era.
They defined the genre, pioneered special effects,solidfied the tone, gave us two classics and then mediocre follow ups and have several campy yet charming moments.
