I'll start

That was precisely what the fandom was so salty about: she was wasted potential all around
>>94955492
Too easy
>>94955538
Except a good portion of the fanbase doesn't even want her to exist and calls her out for being a plot device
Sure you got the side that actively wants development out of her but it's small
>watch show
>get "inspired"
>realize everything you ever create or have created is just a ripoff of something that was done better
>scrap it
>repeat forever
Who else
>>94955348
See, that's why you take good ideas that were executed poorly and try and fix them. Just taking inspiration from successful shows is depressing.
>>94955348
>everything you ever create or have created is just a ripoff of something that was done better
The sooner you realize that everything created in the 20th century and beyond is a ripoff of something else, the sooner you realize how dumb you sound and just enjoy the craft itself.
>>94955348
I just keep on going with that inspiration, i dont care if people call me a ripoff.
Usually the characters or ideas develop into something completely origional as tome goes on anyways.
Why was this episode so perfect?
>>94955316
It was super comfy, plus racing down a volcano? Really lives up to how wacky speed racer was.
It replicated all the bits about Speed Racer everyone remembered fondly (the janky animation, the rapid-fire exposition, the ridiculous plots, etc.) without overdoing it like the FoP parody did.
>>94955402
The only good parody FoP ever did was the DBZ one
Saw thread requesting Pope Hats #1 storytime, if requester sees this do you still want it? Happy to oblige, was gonna s/t something today anyhow (Bank Holiday Monday in UK today)....
>>94955255
Im down for it
>>94955333
same here
>>94955333
>>94955392
Weirdly didn't get a sound reply....good job I didn't decide to vidja for a bit or something! Will Post as double page spreads, will scan now. Do you want it as it's scanned or should I just do half, upload that and then scan the rest?
>65 episodes over 5 seasons of 13 episodes each + movie
>each season with a different character focus: TT on Robin, Terra, Cyborg, Raven, and Beast Boy, while TB has Ethan, Yin, Batgirl, Robin, and finally the Justice League as a whole
>each season has both entirely standalone eps which still integrate into the story, and episodes with heavy continuity (mostly season premieres/finales)
>3 different intros for each (TT: English/Japanese/Larry, TB: S1-2/S3/S4-5)
>rather similar (though certainly not identical) animation style, especially compared to other cartoons
>Robins look remarkably similar (see pic)
>Batman appearing in TT spinoff comics looks most like TB's version
>TT primarily aired on CN and TB on Kids WB, but both shows aired on each others' main networks during their runs
>65 episodes over 5 seasons of 13 episodes each + movie
I'm going to stop you right here. This is the standard "full" run for a series that targets children at least in the mid 00s. 52 is technically where the limit got drawn but the extra 13 happens if you're popular. It has to do with union rules. Basically they bill it as S1 = 26, S2 = 26, S3 = 13. Sometimes if it's extremely popular you get more than that but it usually happened with a title change to avoid giving everyone on the crew raises.

>Basically they bill it as S1 = 26, S2 = 26, S3 = 13.
Except each season was completely separate here, at least in writing terms. Not to mention there are plenty of 65-episode cartoons that don't follow this pattern: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SixtyFiveEpisodeCartoon
>>94955615
Writing structure doesn't change the financial categorization when it comes to the union rules.
Okay, so I am deciding whether to buy the Golden volume 1-6 DVD set, or the Platinum sets on blu ray.
Can some fellow Looney Tunes fans give me some pros and cons on which direction I should go? Much appreciated.
Also, pick a favourite short.
>>94955178
heard somewhere that the Golden set was better than the Platinum one, but can't remember why
>>94955178
Bump for interest.
>>94955679
I've heard the same thing, although I cannot remember the details. Usually the problems with these kind of releases are either related to image quality/DNR issues with newer/updated prints or censorship of content deemed insensitive by contemporary standards. It's the reason why I got my hands on the older version of the Tex Avery DVD collection rather than the new release because I heard they actually removed a bunch of cartoons from it due to them containing gags with racial humour and racist stereotypes.
>>94955679
Well the Golden series did last much longer then Platinum and there's plenty of overlap between them.
I do think that Platinum has some tidier organization of shorts in places. Like how they group together the complete runs of some of the uncommon characters.
Why did Star's ancestor fuck Trigon?
>>94955154

>>94955154

Who?
Reminder: Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island was the best installment of the franchise and just about everything afterwards is dog shit.
Has anyone been yet?

ITS TIME FOR THE BIG FINALE
>>94954847
Yesh.
>a "hero" that creates his own villain by cucking an innocent man into villainy.
Why was Wally considered a good person back then?
nah that guy was abusive, Wally did nothing wrong
>>94955121
The guy did nothing against Tina until she started fucking Wally behind his back.
>>94954830
That's the thing, OP. He wasn't, at least not really. He was a kind of a jackass until he mellowed out when Linda appeared.
an entire summer without a single new episode, i guess the whole fucking team is off on vacation again, in my day we worked during the summer, none of this namby pamby tumblr ass self entitled bullshit.
>>94954731
Didn't they do a Summer of Steven in June and July?
I remember some advertisements for something like that.
>>94954782
That was a year ago
>>94954782
that was last year, the last steven universe episode was released in may.
What is /co/'s opinion on foreign CGI movies?
I feel bad that they very rarely seem to have very imaginative writers.
>>94954819
that is true.I think they have some decent original ideas, but they go back to safest tropes and stories.
>>94954727
>Vampire
>Werewolf
>Frankenstein's monster
