Got 2 houses and a failed llc. Looking to start a few more.

Taking into consideration 90% of businesses fail i only need to start 100 to have 10. Im assuming even my autistic ass would learn the ropes by the 10th business and be able to start more an have a higher sucess rate.

Well, the historical example of the Spaniards literally bringing boat loads of gold from the Americas to Europe would indicate a toppling and it neatly fits with the supply/demand model of commodities.

The real question would be the costs of bringing moon-gold to earth. Rockets are a very expensive way of transporting goods, so I'd assume there was a substantial cost to send someone up, mine an ounce and bring it back to earth. This cost would be the minimum price for gold to have, that would make moon-mining profitable. So if this price turns out to be way above current spot price, literally nothing would change and nobody would attempt to mine it (except perhaps for novelty reasons), since it would be a surefire way to make a loss.
If however the cost of moon-mining was lower than spot, businesses would start getting into moon mining. Expect a situation like the last few years have been with oil. Fracking and oil sands have caused a lot of turmoil. When oil spot was high, everybody entered the biz. This caused an over-supply, leading to oil absolutely tanking in value an a lot of the new oil companies struggling. Of course it's not as easy to get into space mining than it is getting into fracking, so expect less competition. But I would expect gold spot to drop or at least stagnate in the long run.

Why would gold ever "skyrocket", as you propose? More supply doesn't magically create more demand. Maybe people would moon-mine at higher cost and offer an ounce of gold at a price higher than spot to cover their expenses - but nobody would buy it over earth-gold (which is literally the same stuff). There is plenty of gold left on earth and many mines are hardly profitable. Adding even less profitable mines in space wouldn't raise the price either.

Once it became cheaper, it became more practical for use in industry (framing for airplanes, ships and other vehicles).

So from a business point of view, it dropped in value, sure, but demand increased greatly over the years. And so it's a balance between decreasing price and increased revenues through greater demand due to the lower price.

Same thing could occur to gold in your example. One well known property of gold is it's good electrical conductance (it's used in circuit boards). If gold became less scarce (lower price), industry would take greater advantage of it, pumping up demand and revenues. But this is assuming that businesses can form supply chains and mining operations to and from the moon.

The price of gold itself would drop down a ton but it would be more common and thus still valuable enough, hopefully, to turn a solid profit to the companies and to the investors of the company.
