I need some help here. I am still new to this crypto stuff, but thanks to biz I was able to get 100 ETH back when it was sub $20. I need help understanding long term holding.
I am Amerifag and have Coinbase, Poloniex, and Kraken setup. I only have 100 ETH in Coinbase right now. My goal is to start investing so that I can make as much money as possible over the next 5-10 years.
I am looking into all of the alt coins thanks to info posted here. What is a good strategy? Do I buy ETH and BTC on Coinbase then transfer to Poloniex and Kraken to get other coins and ETH/BTC reserves? Also do I just keep the coins on those exchanges, is that safe?
I appreciate all your help anon! I am hoping that we all make a lot of money and can live the good life while we are young enough to enjoy it!

Can someone explain this meme to me? I feel a whole of a lot safer storing my coins on say Bittrex than multiple shitty prototype wallets that are overcomplicated and full of bugs that eat my computers memory up.

Hi all. Long time BTC/ETH holder here. I was looking for a new investment and decided to give altcoins a try. I selected 6 coins based on monthly volume since they seemed to be the most stable. I excluded ETH Classic from the list (regret it given the price change but I was concerned about the PoS bomb and DAO hacked coins) and Tether since it's fixed. I would have bought Zcash but they don't have a paper wallet generator.
Anyway, new purchase today was Golem once I saw it had taken a turn down. 5.5% up with about a thousand coins owned. Anyone else buying and holding long term (3-4 yrs?).

Will do! Yeah, I'm hopeful for Golem. I really like the idea of Monero too except it's complicated, slow, and annoying to use. I almost completely ignored Ripple (I hate pre-mined coins) but I'm glad I just went with it. Still like LTC, kinda wanna buy more now since I think it will double or triple in value still. Not sure why I haven't done this yet.

Accumulating certain coins like litecoin is always a good strategy. Litecoin is one of those coins it could happen overnight to. Charlie is in the crypto oligarchy considering his connections.
I wouldn't hate on Ripple too hard... The backing by slant banks is substantial. I can only assume in the crypto wild wild west, Ripple won't have direct competition which is beneficial over the long term. It did shoot up a few weeks ago to 7000sats
