Except price isn't determined by an even, zero sum division of total market cap. These people have no understanding of basic supply and demand or how monetary changes effect a currency.
ETHs price will be determined first by how badly people want ETH. The more desireable ETH becomes, the more expensive it will be just like ANYTHING ELSE EVER.
The total supply of coins is a secondary determinant here. Yes is it true that since there are more ETH in circulation that people will have to want ETH a hell of a lot more than they want BTC to achieve the same market price, but is that so impossible? It's not even fuckin mainstream yet. Hell, most normies don't even know what fucking BTC is. The possibility for demand is FUCK HUGE.

Those are arbitrary numbers - a 4X increase in BTC and 10X increase in ETH would still be a fraction of world's economy.
What I'm concerned with is what happens on the margin - the rate at which capital is flowing into cryptos. I see no reason for it to be that high, there are literally 0 novel uses for them. Its all wealth preservation, but what are they preserving it from? A crash?

The financialization bubble is going to finally pop in October after being long overdue. Stocks, commodities, real-estate, banks, and many publicly traded corporations will all be going in the shitter. There will be no dip: the devaluation will be long term as it reflects their uninflated value. The crash will be triggered by job losses causing both a slump in consumer demand and lots of loan defaults.
