Can somebody TL:DR me on static nodes? Im pretty new at all this so I had a few questions like:
-Do I need to set up a static node?
-What are the benefits?
-What exactly is a static node and what does it do?
-Can I just buy a ton of XBY and still greatly benefit without a static node?
1. No, you don't however, the network is very young and it would technically help your investment by supporting it. Also there are other benefits to setting up a static node early. To what exactly those extra benefits are, I am not sure.
2. Static owners collect transaction fees.
3. The technology is so new and different its difficult for anyone to really get everything right.
The big deal is that Static nodes eliminate Proof of Work mining and Proof stake minting. In those, one node is randmoly assigned to check. with Proof of Signature, they all sign the blocks online. This makes the system extremely hack-proof, in fact Borzalom himself has emphasized that its unhackable.
The other big deal is that there are no coins in Static wallets. The coins in your satics are put in cold storage - the absolute best and safest way to store coins.
4. Yes.

Seems insanely good, but their website and their news are completely lacking. You can't even set up a static node at the moment or prepare yourself to set up one by learning what it takes.
Are there any other coins which use static nodes?
I assume your own node is like your own exchange, it sounds profitable, but doesn't that mean paying for servers?
ITT places where you can spend Bitcoin
newegg.com
i kind of want to buy a new macbook or imac

I wanted to buy an Alienware on Dell.com but there was no bitcoin payment option. Contacted customer support and they said they no longer accept Bitcoin

How do I get a job in another state?
Drink a lot of alcohol
>>2025435
You just move and apply. Sometimes you can even apply and then move
>>2025435
Same way you get a job in your own state tard
>go to university
>fail out of engineering
>same class that failed me from engineering is the cause of my failure in business
I don't even know anymore biz do I drop out do I find another shitty major I already hid in liberal arts til business would take me and they wont take me back.
Do I change schools and reapply for business?
Find a shitty major just to say I graduated at X university?
or just anhero?
What the fuck can somebody fail in a business degree
>>2025399
I failed math back in engineering so I retook it for a higher grade, business took the math grades as it was a more difficult math than required.
Now exactly 1 semester after getting in they tell me I didn't pass my classes by a high enough margin to stay in the major because of the initial failing grade.
>>2025424
So you failed what, diff eq?
I dunno man, if you can't hack it through that much juggling at school I'd just find a solid job somewhere else. Learn a trade or a skill.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
THERE'S TOO MANY DIFFERENT FUCKING COINS
ETH
Thats why BTC is the only one that matters.
Btc and ETH...
i have 100 ETH but i still feel like a peasant. at best ill be able to buy an outhouse on the moon. if i had 400 ETH ide be a baller but it would be suicidally risky i cant afford to lose 25 k on loan. but im tired of being poor ETH is a way out tell me what to do biz
>>2025319
I assume you're already all in on 2.5x leverage at least on Poloniex, yes?
If that's the case then make sure to put the 25k on 2.5x leverage as well, get a lawyer to help you with your bankruptcy, and start learning about how to do that.
>>2025319
i know how you feel. I didnt have enough last year (lost a lot from trading at first) and i still felt that without leverage there was no way to get enough ETH by the time it took over the world.
Then the euphoria faded and ETH ran into a string of bad news as pretty much all projects are guaranteed to do. After the DAO fork I was just upset about ethereum as a whole and didnt even want ETH anymore. The price sank low and I had enough to buy my original amount and then some, and it took off. now we're back to euphoria, the feeling of dread that the bear market wont happen and that leverage is essential for gains, but now this isnt my first rodeo.
You dont need leverage. Let everyone else pay the insane interest rates and wear themselves down by taking too much risk for too little reward. To get more ETH you just need a bear market to go with this bull market, and it is certain to happen eventually.
>>2025319
listen, i don't like telling anyone what to do with their money, but the chances of this being the worst investment or decision in your life are much higher than you making millions of dollars.
ETH has a future, but their are others right behind them. you never invest what you can't afford to lose.
if you feel you have no disposable income to invest, work on yourself and getting a job that gets you some cushion - then you can start investing.
dont fucking ruin your life over the hype and fear of missing out. Ethereum is at all time highs - don't be fucking stupid.
good luck anon
Education is the best investment one can make. Prove me wrong.
That and a solid skillset.
>>2025303
Agreed, but education does not always equal college.
learning a trade can be very good for you, and going to college for a shit degree like hospitality will do nothing for you.
Why aren't you mining Waves right from your wallet.
>Download waves lite client wallet
>Have at least one or two waves
>Pick one of the popular node hosts
>Click the "lease" option in the wallet
>Lease your waves to aid in mining power and receive various waves tokens
The waves never even leave your wallet, and you'll start seeing airdrops into your wallet. You'll earn fractions of each transaction fee plus miner's tokens as long as you lease out your waves.
I'm surprised there aren't more posts about WAVES. It's like they're giving out free money with all these token giveaways that appear automatically in your wallet.
>>2025326
I meant to include a question mark. Meant to type "Why aren't you mining Waves right from your wallet?"
Yes, it's just picking up steam. I have a shit ton of free random coins. I only ever bought my 3000 waves, Everything else is free and I'm leasing out my waves for mining as you can see in this screenshot I'm posting.
>>2025293
One or two waves is not anywhere near enough to be able to earn rewards from leasing. As of right now, the rate 1% return per month or 12% a year just for leasing
>Parents are paying for sister's meme degree tuition
>Buy her shit all the time

Give me one reason not to put these fucks in a retirement home when they're old.

Retirement home is too good for them. Let them figure it out for themselves.
>>2025290
OP you have it all wrong.
Prove them wrong by making 10x what your sister could ever imagine.
Channel your anger towards success, that's what I did. Anger is the best fuel for aspirations.
if its anything like me you'll probably end making more money than all of them combined and selfish for not sharing while sister spends all her money buying cars for chad

Remember when bitcoin was worth $600 and nocoiners claimed the "bubble" was about to burst?
Remember when bitcoin dipped at $800 and nocoiners celebrated the great ""crash""?
And again at 1k, you remember? And again and again. I can't even remember them all desu, lost count.
Will they ever learn?
>Commercials told me to buy gold and silver
>mfw nocoiners can't cope
>Will they ever learn?
No. We'll be at $100,000 in the next decade and they will still doubt.
>lol at buying at $1000 again, it's crashing all the way down to 100
Who cares if it crashes to $100, just buy a shit ton and wait.
why did bitcoin crash to 200 last time? was it because of the mtgox hack?
They will throw a BTC HAIL MARRY and then hope and prey Wall St goes JUmp st into this pile of trash.
You are at the dawn of an internet automated AI super storm and you are still slaving for fiat tokens.
Are you dense /biz/?

>75% of people I know with access to their own Trust Funds are utter fuck ups
Does having access to too much wealth not tied to basic life skills early on kill development?
>>2025148
Depends completely on the parenting in a case like that.
>>2025148
Partially, yes.
One needs to instill an appetite of want into a young person, lest they grow up to be stoner bums.
Decadence breeds weakness and complacency, always.
>>2025148
I feel like knowing that there's a huge pile of money waiting for them
without any real effort would kill any motivation to leave childhood and

They lack the discipline that their parent(s) had to create that wealth and
their parents fucked up by even acknowledging the Trust fund's existence.
