How so?
Eth will never go over 0.059 btc stable
I have $3700 in ETH right now and that's it for my crypto portfolio. I want to start diversifying.
Been thinking of putting $500 into iExec. What else? I don't want to invest in shitty p&d coins, I want to invest in coins that actually show potential of making it big.
>>2026326
Monero
LTC
>>2026326
I would get GNT before brass golem is released.
LTC is finishing segwit and getting used the lighting test
XRP is getting lots of exposure
I also see Maidsafe as a good longterm hold.
POSW finally mooning
To be fair it isn't even back to ath yet
Patience, kek wills this coin to $10. It's just a matter of time.

The amount of digits is crazy.
How long tho.
I can't wait.
So let me get this straight
You buy crypto currency because it will be worth a lot once everyone used it.
>but if it goes up a lot people will hoard it instead of transact with it
>if people hoard it and it's volatile merchants won't adopt it
>if people won't adopt it then how does it become worth more
>???
Would the only crypto that gets widespread usage be one in which you cannot gain from speculating in it?
>>2026251
you're describing some of many volatility factors. yes. cryptos are volatile.. it's pretty common knowledge. cryptocurrency is still a brand new concept. if someone could come up with an effective way to automatically control price volatility, we'd be headed in the right direction. cryptocurrency has obviously NOT been around long enough for a safe and stable stand-alone coin. give it time, and the right one will quickly come forward and be adopted. ripple seems to be on the right track right now by manually combating price volatility.. but there will be better ones. it's still WAYYYY early for cryptos.
>>2026344
adding to that: someone may have already come up with a great volatility control in their cryptocurrency, it just hasn't had enough time and users to figure that out yet.
>>2026344
Ok but if it's stable then you can't make money specimulating in it. Basically you can't make money from crypto, period
Actual no coiner here. Is it too late to get on the Ethereum bandwagon?
I feel dead inside not boarding at $7. Realistically speaking, what price do you expect it to reach in the next couple years?
>>2026243
about 300 by the end of the year
very likely 1000 in two years
normies are pouring in like crazy into crypto, the concept is so new and the technology is hard to get into so literally almost no one invests in crypto compared to the stock market.
It's still early anon.
>>2026252
But where would $1000 in value come from?
This would give it a market cap of 100B+
Not trying to nitpick I just really wanna understand this so I appreciate any opinions you give
>>2026243
>is it too late
Here's how I look at it:
As an American, I already know the dollar in m pocket isn't worth the paper it's printed on.
I remember the "BITCOIN MILLIONAIRE" video from years ago where this Gilbert Godfried looking-motherfucker was on CSPAN or CNN or whatever shitting all over BTC holdings in 2011 when it as worth practically nothing.
I'm 24 now with a steady income and the little I've invested since Saturaday has netted me a week's salary from a few hours of research.
The risk is high, basically a gamble, but I'd rather waste 500 bucks on GNT and hold till its worthless than know 5 years from now one GNT is worth $100 USD.
ok so lets say you get richer and at what point (how much $) would you be able to quit any kind of work for at least 5 years?? all things considered
>>2026242
Depends on what or who provides you services and goods. This differs from place to place.
>>2026242
30,000 USD will allow you to live in thailand for 5 years without working.
>>2026242
50k per year of income producing assets on top of groeing well above inflation.
Give me one reason not to get into trades. Seems like most trades make you a lot more money than many cubiclecuck jobs and don't require 4 years of wasting money for a piece of paper.
>bump for trades discussion
being a 23 old neet, I wonder how much of the trades is just a meme or viable option for your average dude.
Really no reason not to, but there are a few things you must have together if you want to make good money by having your own business.
>Don't be a clumsy neet only go I to trades if you are actually good with your hands and can learn easily 'hands-on'
>Have a lot of personal responsibility and discipline.
>Learn to be a son of a bitch. You don't get big by being nice to people.
>Work your fucking ass off. 80 hour weeks minimum when you start out with your own business.
>Be prepared for the tax man
Trades are mostly non exportable, but get ready to compete with dirt cheap illegals and Hispanics. You can make a decent living and be your own boss.
>>2026256
It seems like you can upsell and scam people easily in trades too. Don't middleage moms get fooled all the time by getting told they need all these expensive things done?
>buy house for 210.000
>5 years later
>sell house for 260.000
>barely break even
What kind of Jew magic is this?
>>2026214
should have spent 210,000 on ETH instead
>>2026220
Should've spent 210,000 on bitbean instead.
>>2026224
Should've spent 210,000 on XRP instead.
I just put a limit buy order on AMD for 25,000 shares at $9.75 per share.
If it hits, I will download at $10.25.
Wish me luck.
>>2026185
You'd be safer off putting that money into ETH.
You'ld be richer putting that money into PoSW
You'd be not a complete fucking idiot putting that money in a portfolio of low cost index funds

When did you realise that 4chan is a waste of time keeping you from success?
>>2026103
4chan is literally how I turned $15000 of interest free student loans into $220000
Telling me about ETH early on has changed my life forever
Fucking love /biz/
>>2026103
When did you realized that's just an excuse?
>>2026103
>started crypto last Saturday
>already made $200 dollars
If anything I learned my life has been a waste until 4chan.
GET INTO GOLEM ASAP! ITS ABOUT TO BLOW JUST LIKE ETH DID AND THE FIRST RELEASE OF BRASS GOLEM IS COMING THIS MONTH!
https://twitter.com/golemproject/status/859441909361762307
WUT DID HE MEAN BY THIS
Golem about to MOON! That's right folks
>>2025950
What if brass golem is total shit?
>yfw you realize you should pull all of your money from the stock market.
>yfw you realize that economic destabilization of the EU and Chynga is imminent
>yfw housing bubble 2.0
>yfw when boomers begin to pull out their massive retirement funds from the market.
Get out now so you can buy the recovery. Nobody ever talks about boomers taking out their giant annuities and other investments. It's going to happen, they're all retiring and cashing out as we speak.
>>2025882
Realized this 2 years ago. The shitshow is still going though somehow. Just waiting for the crash. That's why I am all in crypto and silver.
>timing the market
How can a poorfag with only $200 become rich from cryptos?
You guys will say BTC and ETH but even if ETH reaches 1000 in 3 years that's basically only 2000.
If I have the opportunity to get in so early on a pioneering technology, as you guys said, I should be able to become a millionaire from it.
>>2025879
The only coin with new tech right now is XBY, but its a gamble. Buy it and hold 2 years either u will be rich or piss poor.
>>2025879
At ethereum ICO the price of BTC was around 300/coin. So your 200 would net you 0.6 BTC. Investing in the first two weeks had a rate of 1 BTC to 2000 ETH. So you'd make around 1300 ETH. If it goes up to 1000, here we go, you would be a millionaire.
The problem is you missed the boat... and so did everyone on /biz (rebranded r9k). When ethereum was just shilled here in january 2016 at $1 per coin, it was outmemed as a russian scam from skeleton vitalik. /biz looks at image over substance. Sad!
You're young with no obligations, take big risks. Invest in a very high risk very high reward coin (eg. Posw). If you win, you've made a lot of money, if you lose, you can make back your losses within a week or two by wagecucking
Is it time to buy AMD Stock?
>>2025857
They make shit GPUs so no, Nvidia is king.
