To the cryptonerds who started out with sub-500$ investments, what was your initial planning and how are your portfolios doing?
I see someone talking about how they started by putting 25-150 bucks a week into BTC, ETH, and LTC and I was wondering where that has lead them.
>>2082727
I started with £100 in january.
Now i have about £1500 in bitcoin and £1000 in ETH, £4000 in etheroll tokens, £2000 worth of zrcoin, and 600 qtum which isnt released yet.
My target is £100,000 by the end of the year.
>>2082727
I started with 400 in ETH when it was 15 dollars. Got out at 50 and put it into other coins from there
invest in high risk - high reward. i was early in pivx with $600 and sold when it hit 1.90 so got out $9000 from that which i have x3 ($27000) now with xby if i sell now, but i plan on holding for a month or so. I go all in and it seems to work for now.
I own quite an amount of both, so reading this (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=724710.0)
concerned me. Post is pretty old tho. Thoughts?
Almost all coins are scams, you just need to get out of them before they drop in price.
>>2082716
>is stellar a scam
yes
>is ripple a scam
kind've, it's literally a pay-to-play currency specifically for wealthy bankers.
People are gonna get fucked hard if they hold past a buck, and even then most people aren't sure it'll even hit that.
>>2082716
Ripple is a scam. I know nothing about Stellar however.
Can it hit ten cents?
>>2082670
it can hit 1$
generally hope xby moons like hell before the next eth boom

Dads business is failing, I'm going to school and working for him for free so he can turn a smol profit. I'm doing it because I love him and he needs my help. Since I can't take up a real career or work any kind of paying job in the meantime since the remainder of my off time is spent at school or studying, I'm interested in making money with crypto which I've known about for a while but never got interested by it. Never traded it and don't know where to start. Is bitcoin a good starting point? Tips and advice welcome. What's a good investment right now? Hell, I'm open for alternatives from crypto too. I have about 300 fish to start with.

I suggest taking out a loan and investing in DigiBytes, it will moon once Minecraft and Steam adopts it. Normie gamers are not aware that Minecraft and Steam will be implementing DigiByte support. Do you know how many players both platforms have?
Put 2 and 2 together, this will make you a multi millionaire.
>>2082539
Why would Steam and Minecraft owners would adopt this shitcoin and not another one? Don't eat everything that flies you stupid fucks.
dont be a cuck and actually take risks like crypto if you're struggling financially. Buy drugs on the cheap, and move them to people, find a god market, a good one is adderall for people in uni, it reaches a demand for it and is very very profitable.
Hey crypto fags, there is a Telegram group that posts up pumps that are happening in real time. This is a new group they made but I've made a couple hundred bucks from them and I wanted to share this gift.

What do you guys think about Siacoin? They provide a decentralized storage platform and unlike a lot of shitcoins, have been trying to keep marketing to a minimum until they have fully released their product. Their team seems great, their idea seems promising, and the market cap is at only 70 million right now.
Unlike a lot of other "projects," they actually have a functioning product right now, but are looking to perfect it.
Seems very interesting, but not sure how it compares to ShiftNRG
>>2082485
Its been looking good so far ngl
>>2082485
I have been mining siacoin for a year or so, its not a bad coin, but all the pools for it kinda suck.

I want to lend money or loan money to others and earn interest in some capacity. What would be some books/forums/resources/knowledge where I can do this?
I just gave away my ps4 to a family in need and I am interested in practicing a better financial plan.
I am not interested in crypto, sorry. I think I want to lend between $10~$30 per month. And maybe get back 10% in interest?
>>2082346
There are websites where you can loan your money. You can do it through a website like lendingclub, or you can do them through reddit or craigslist.
Nothing stopping most people from just taking your money outright though if it's not through a business.
>>2082390
ah thanks man, i was reading about lendingclub, looks promising. Yeah i figure i might do this. If the money gets stolen it's only 10-30. Not a big investment. This is more for me to get into the habit of earning passive income. The experience outweighs everything.
Just buy bonds.
How can I keep better focused while working from home?
>>2082218
be your own boss.
>>2082218
Limit your 4chan usage. I work from home and waste way too much time on here.
>>2082229
If it makes you feel better, I work in an office and have been on here pretty much all day
Guys I just did something really dumb
I transferred all my BTC from my paper wallet to Polo thinking I could convert it to cash but then I realized that the closest thing it can be converted to is USDT. Bc of the daily withdrawal limit, it's going to take me 3 weeks to get it all out of there.
Does anyone have experience with USDT? Are there disadvantages and what are the issues about keeping it in the form of tether in an omni-based wallet? They charge 0.1% for converting it into USD in your bank account which will actually be a few hundred dollars.
>>2082211
So, as you seem to be very new, the first thing is you DONT ask for info, especially not here, you get it BY YOURSELF. Second, as there is a high probability you are american, please do think of the consequences of your actions before doing anything.
>>2082533
I see people ask and give advice all the time on here.
>>2082211
>0,1% is a few hundred dollars
nice
LTC in free fall today.
Sure hope you anons dumped this coin.
I am tempted to buy and dump tonight though.
>>2082196
mother of god
I was looking at it at work at like 27 thinking about dumping it
I bought in at $31 like a dickhead
Now I don't know whether to dump at 25 or HODL and pray because it looks like it's going down to fuckin 10 if I'm unlucky
>>2082204
LN will save us... r-right?
>>2082196
Dump and take the loss, buy ither fast moving coins. Since all the coins mooned over and over again, reaching ATH after ATH, LTC has done nothing but goes sideways or down.
Transfer your money to buy XRP DGB ETH even BTC.
Hi, /biz/.
Financial illiterate canuck here, parents have a combined 500k cad/ 366.5k usd sitting in the bank doing nothing. They are asking me about investment option to generate passive income, we aren't touching it any time soon.
Could you please share some advice?
ETH
>>2082162
I think they'd be more comfortable with something conventional, I don't know anything about crypto-currency myself. I don't want to fuck them over.
>>2082157
You could probably set up a pretty basic portfolio full of firms with very large market cap and be relatively safe. I don't know that, say popular companies like GOOG, AMZN, NFLX, etc., would generate very much income, but those are some obvious guys that have been around for a while and aren't going anywhere. I would start with what I believe to be the safest, least volatile investments and then move from there based on your account growth.
What's the best shitcoin to meme into anons?
I'll go with the biggest shill of /biz/, it'll be my first memecoin.
