> How is it free?
"People" invest your settled funds when you're not using them, just like banks.
> It's been X days, why isn't my account verified yet?
Not being approved in 3 days seems to be the new norm. Nevertheless, call/email their support if you've been waiting more than that.
> When is it coming to my country?
The only "plans" are on an Australian and Chinese beta. Neither of which has gained much traction.
> I hit sell when the stock was X.XX, but it actually sold at a lower price, why?
Robinhood graphs are shit and only show you an average, not true real-time prices. To get Bid/Ask prices and important things like candlestick graphs, you should use a more robust platform.
> Where can I get better charting or bid/ask?
Real brokers, like TDAmeritrade's thinkorswim. Otherwise you should be using tradingview.com, stockcharts.com, finviz.com, or a non-pile-of-shit for your graphing in addition to Robinhood.

You should be worried, you bought into a scam where everyone thinks they will become rich by playing video games.

Recommend you stick with large caps starting out, they play a bit nicer and are more forgiving if you screw up.

I'm completely clueless on what that means, but I'll look into it. Thank you!

So is a diversified portfolio a good idea, or is all the money to be made in low market cap alt/shit coins?
Right now I'm 30% BTC, 28% ETH, 20% XRP, 10% LTC, and 2% each in DASH, XEM, XMR, XLM, GNT, and WAVES. It covers the big boys, but I'm not sure if the altcoins I picked are any good, or if they're going to trend sideways because the pump is over.
Let's talk ICOs.
Currently got my eye on Basic Attention Token. On the one hand, it is an interesting idea for advertising and less well developed tokens and tech have seen gains. On the other hand, it's success depends largely in the adoption of the Brave browser. While the browser is well received and reviewed, it will be difficulty to dethrone Chrome or Firefox. The team also seems to count on the fact that BAT will drive Brave adoption as people supposedly will want to get paid for browsing. Sounds like hopeful thinking to me.
Anyhow I will drop a few ETH in the BAT ICO.

Are all these coins just illegitimate knockoffs? Humaniq, xby, ltc, etc... do they just get shilled up and then dumped or do they have legit value that separate them from btc in some meaningful way?
I'm asking in earnest, I've read up on the tech somewhat but need a quality bogpost on coin trading to get into it. I have access to free utilities for mining gear and cash to invest but can't get my head around the mechanisms here. What drives this "mooning" of one coin vs another?
By no means an expert but so far it's mostly hype aka news and marketing. It's still a niche thing so very volatile and easily influenced by the news
Take the WannaCry attack that caused the huge dip from a couple of days ago.
Same with new announcements and conferences on cryptocoins. Or when an exchange launches support for one coin or another, etc
Following the news, and ironically enough the 4chins, can give good indicators about what's going to go up. ETH went up when coinbase started supporting it, ripple went up when the Japanese government/banks said they were gonna do smth with it. Details don't even matter that much, it's literally just hype, pump, dump
>>2078390
>it's literally just hype, pump, dump
So it's just different expressions of the same tech marketed differently? I mean, that's the impression I have but it seems cynical to me so I'm concerned that I'm missing something because I'm still retarded about the whole thing.
>>2078408
Oh I haven't bothered to look into the tech so far. I remember some block chain theory from back at uni but I didn't bother yet.
Afaik the base is the same with some variation: people "sell" computing power and get currency in return. I'm assuming there's variations in encryption, handshakes, key exchanges, authentication, volumes, algorithms bla bla
Before I sound too ignorant, I'd read some white papers and technical articles, I highly doubt /biz/ has any meaningful/reliable/objective useful info on the tech
How would knowing the tech influence your decision making tho? I don't think it plays that much into the strength of a coin so far. Especially if the creators don't market it properly
/biz/ couldn't tell a scam from their own asshole. If you want to invest in something, do your own research and stop listening to retards on /biz/.
Pic related to all nocoiners btw

Lol, I almost got sucked into one. I was working an temp outdoor job when a lady approached me, saying she could help me find a better job and told me to attend a meeting during the weekend at an office building to meet some people. When I got there, there was indeed a huge meeting. Many people were dressed in suits, etc. We listened to a guy giving a speech about the need to adapt and change, etc. without giving specific details. It wasn't until the end when they asked me to pay them money for a background check that I realized it was all bullshit.
Anyway, it's good that you have Craiglist on the list. It is a good place to find jobs. I both got my first job (since many years as a NEET), my second job, and my current job (salaried job from craigslist). People complaining about not being able to find any jobs (especially in a city) are either lazy and/or picky.
