you could of made it by now if you jumped on the NEO "memecoin" ship
When did you realize that, in the end, money really is all that matters?
Mid 20s once I started working
>>3065747
true, but after making 70k here I also notice it doesn't change anything. I feel shitty just as often, only now in a new car. Only thing is it's nice not having to worry about money when you see something you like and want to buy. best thing I've done with my crypto gains is go on a bunch of trips with the wife
>>3065747
Just 5 seconds ago when I read your post. Damn, thanks anon.
>>3065747

Hey was wondering if you guys knew the best route for me to go into stock trading / investment banking.
Im 19 in the UK and i'm a bright guy just had to let go of this dream in the past for personal reasons. I was expelled from my high school will this affect me?
Appreciate all any advice but would be cool if UK people can tell me the actual best courses on offer here?
Thanks.
Also if anyone here does that sort of work regardless where your from got any books / ebooks that you reccomend a begginer?

Wanna good free advice who has finished International Investment?
Don't do it. Just don't.
Most big investment firms, are currently dropping out of UK due to all this fucking, brexit legislations madness going on.
Also they don't pay as well as you might imagine, about as much as some IT guys after right schools (And it is quite overpopulated thing to do, not as good as 10 years ago).
If you go to the top guys you will have to spend anywhere from year to 2/3 years on internships where they will give you shittiest things to do for next to no money.
After this you start at bottom for shit sallary, working your way up the ladder is fucking annoying, you either rat other people or stay "innovative" coming up with some new shit every week.
Also >Expelled from high school =/= bright guy.
Trust me you don't want to get down this shithole. Currently major in International Investment, and getting degree in something well paid and useful (Car Drivetrain Engineering).
If you have any questions then feel free to ask.
Ex fund manager for a small Aus firm.
Don't kid yourself, it is nothing like the movies or depiction painted by society. Unless you are VERY well off or come from a good family, you struggle to work up the chain.
I started off in fund development team and found a way to MITM profit and outsouce liability so I got to move up fairly quickly.
Guy above is dead on, most people need a few internships to be able to shovel shit in the financial services industry. Salary is not great either.

Are there many quant investment firms in aus (other than optiver)?
Minnow here
Do whales ever get stuck holding bags? Like for example I'm looking at the order book for DGB on Polo - there's a 55 BTC sell wall at 700 sats. And there are many other double digit walls even higher.
Like surely the whale is going to recover his money in a pump down the road right? Or are whales sometimes caught with giant ass bags?
Merk pls respond
Of course that happens OP. Whales aren't some magical future telling seers. They're regular people just like us, but with a lot more money. They can make mistakes and bad calls too.
The difference is they normally are intelligent and savvy enough to hedge their speculations so while they're stuck holding a couple bags they have a dozen others in the process of dropping.
Do rich people lose bets? Yes
>be me
>poorfag selling cocaine to junkies
>working 40 hours a week(shitty job)
>invest my salary in crypto
>live from my drug hustle
Am i doing it the right way?

Why did bitcoin crash in 2013 and took years to recover? And why did bitcoin recover almost instantly from his drop to $1800? Can someone explain to a retard like me?
In 2013 people weren't sure if BTC was here to stay or just a passing phase so when large sells happened people panic sold thinking it was the end of days.
Now when people see large sells they just assume some whale wants to retire rather than BTC is dying.
>>3065481
I see, thanks.
This is what I thought too.
So a long-lasting crash seems unlikely in the coming months/years?
>>3065542
I wouldn't rule out a major crash as there are a lot of newcoiners that don't understand whales cash out but I doubt it would take more than a year to recover.
Can someone send me BitCoins please ?

Should I sign up to Bittrex now and start buying?
Any advice for a altcoin newfag?
No, buy IOTA now.
>>3065390
Don't tell anybody I told you this but you'd be better off going to the little robot site and asking questions like this. Most of the posters there are idiots but they mean well. /biz/ will just have you buying memes and watching your bank account drain.

apparently democrats shill btc now too
Left or right I think most 'mericans agree that the economy isn't looking too good and hedging against the USD is a good idea.

>>3065093
XEL is actually one of the most undervalued projects right now. There's a reason why it keeps growing.
Bought much higher but still holding
