Why did bitcoin crash in 2013 and took years to recover? And why did bitcoin recover almost instantly from his drop to $1800? Can someone explain to a retard like me?
In 2013 people weren't sure if BTC was here to stay or just a passing phase so when large sells happened people panic sold thinking it was the end of days.
Now when people see large sells they just assume some whale wants to retire rather than BTC is dying.

I see, thanks.
This is what I thought too.
So a long-lasting crash seems unlikely in the coming months/years?

I wouldn't rule out a major crash as there are a lot of newcoiners that don't understand whales cash out but I doubt it would take more than a year to recover.

There will always be "crashes". That's just how markets work. What is true though is that every crash bitcoin recovers even stronger, so as long as you are patient you will always get out ahead.

Patience isn't a problem for me. Crashes are good to buy more bitcoins
