Get a blank deck, middle of the road trucks, and good bearings and wheels. It'll cost ~£50 all in, and will go pretty far. The deck is absolutely the part you can skimp out on most, and never cheap out on wheels or bearings.

Tips for tre
-Stay centered, don't lean forward or back and don't turn your shoulders. Some people skate and look ahead while turning their shoulders so when they tre, they move
-get your back foot on the pocket of the board. It's mostly the scoop from the back foot, but pretend to add a little flick on your front foot
-go fast, it leaves you with no option but to get it right
-don't forget to spring up and lift up that back foot
