The problem I have with this stupid ass HPA vs. AEG battle is that retards don't understand that it's not the system, it's the player. GMR uses Systema PTWs and their founder is a cheating scumbag.
What they need to understand is that speedqb faggots can use HPA or AEG to get their overshooting fix, and that those players need to be banned. Not a blanket ban, but an actual ban with thought put into it. If a kid in a Dye i5 is going around corners and lighting people up even after being shot a few times or generally overshooting like an asshole, they need to banned. Not his fucking gun. My field is full of poorfags and a group of richfags. Some of the richfags have P*s and I've had no problems with them, and conveniently only a few richfags have blatantly cheated. Same with poorfags, only a few cheat blatantly. Cheaters should be banned, not the system goddamn it.
HPAs have tournament locks for a reason. Another good way to check on HPA players is by having random chrono checks with referees having a chronograph, either by regular hi-vis referee or a referee actually playing alongside others.

I'm more pissed at the fps. I thought an m120 would have been higher. If I out my finger over the nozzle and push the piston into the cylinder, it doesn't even go forward. The compression is on point.
The rate of fire went up 1-2 bbs. I didn't even use a fully charged battery to test it.

Because it doesn't work like that. Gas guns are designed to be powered by the gas held in the magazine, it's not held in the pistol grip or stock like old airsoft guns from the 80s.
There's only two current production GBBRs that don't need an HPA line in the magazine, and that's Daytonaguns and the Tippmann M4.

That is correct, most HPA you see on the fields are Polarstar/Wolverine/Valken/Mancraft/Whatever the fuck converted AEGs/etc.
They don't have blowback, they just have some gearbox parts swapped so it all relies on high pressure rather than the motor, gears and shit. Those provide you with benefit of using AEG mags and have the line leaving at the handle or somewhere else.
The other interesting example would be Marui shotguns, which use shells but take the gas from the handle. So you can hook up HPA to the handle and enjoy shotgunning to your heart's content.

You're gonna get around 20rps with those ratio. Go watch bevel to Pinion shimming. Right now, those gears are shimmed too tightly. Also a good motor, a tienly 35k motor can help you get you there. M120 spring will get you that fps, there are charts all over the net on what spring does what. Compression can always be better. I heard stories from very good gun techs, able to get 410 fps on a m90 spring, I not sure how they do it but if I care I would Google it. Also to regulate rps, btc fets can do that easily. I have a buddy who have a AK and installed chimera, he set the rpm to 600.

As for mounting a V7 in a real stock, it's doable but you're going to need to do more than just hollow out the pistol grip. There's also the issue of keeping the gearbox mounted and steady.

The M-rating is supposed to stand for velocity in m/s (1m/s = 3,28fps) with 0,20g bb. M120 should shoot 120m/s / 1,44J / 393fps. Sometimes your spring might chrono lower or higher numbers. This is very likely because you've bought a cheap chink spring from a manufacturer that doesn't give a shit about quality control. Another theory is that some companies rate their springs with different levels of compression in mind as in company X tests their springs with super leaky stock gun and company Y might test them with perfectly upgraded gun that doesn't leak any air. If an ''M90 spring'' shoots 120m/s, it's an M120 spring in M90 package.

I agree with this 95%. I really did only do it because it was fun, and I made a bunch of great friends through the hobby, but I quit airsoft because by large the type of player I was stopped playing. I was a regular, didn't really have any gear, had a decent gun and just liked the idea and novelty of the game.
Once those types of players died out, and all that was left were little shits, tryhards, and jive hoodrats that didn't follow any rules, I decided to say fuck it. That's why I stopped playing, but I got out of working at an airsoft shop field for other related reasons.

You rarely do. Especially since I was the only ref at this field. I had to run the counter, set up games, watch over the prep area, get rentals ready (which they barely worked and the batteries would only last for half a mag at the most) deal with problem players, and people destroying shit in the field. I did that every weekend for 3 days straight for about 4 years. That's one reason a lot of field refs hate it. While everyone else is having fun on the weekend, you're stuck being a babysitter until 10 or 11 o'clock at night on Friday - Sunday. No heat in the winter, neither bathroom worked the whole place smelled like must and mold. the place was the definition of a shithole. Fuck cqb.

If the skullfag truly has 15:1 gears (unlikely because rare as fuck), 12RPS is poor. Assuming he has a stock motor with 28TPA armature, he should be shooting 14-15RPS with 15:1. If he in fact had ''16:1'' gears, which almost always have the true rating of 17,2:1, his 12RPS would be in the correct ballpark.

Get the Iron Airsoft M320, not the S&T. The Iron Airsoft M320 has a rifled barrel, better trigger, more accurate trade marks and all for either the same price of the S&T or slightly more. Gonna try to trade my S&T for a something good the next time I go play, hope I can score a MP5 or some kind of SMG.
G&P Projectile shells are fun as fuck, you won't regret getting them. I reccomend not using them too much though, people REALLY don't like getting hit by them in my experience.

Preferably the even more rare one with the original FNC handguards, but I'll take the ugly AK5 handguard if it comes down to it.

Pkmfag talked about them before. The m249 is the best overall in the long run. The pkm is probably second best and the m60 really has the worst of both of them with the only plus being that "it's an m60."
Like all the a&k guns, the internals need to be reworked, and the boxmag inspected for loose parts. Just make sure to take it easy on the bipod and it should be alright. Make sure to pick up an extra nozzle, as they're proprietary in the m60.

It's a standard in the "worn cherry" finish. For the $50 or so for coil splitting it's worth it if that's what you're into. You'll have a shit load of more potential sounds. Even minus the coil splitting, the g400 can do a wide range of music. Worth every penny. Invest in a good amp (look around at pawn shops) and you'll be all set for under $500.

I have a friend that has one. He likes it. Be warned...almost everything inside it is non standard. If it ever breaks, you're pretty much fucked.

I have a Cyma SVD. As far as I understand all that rebranding crap, they're the same
First thing - shim it and replace the wires, install the BTS, get a 11.1v Lipo.
Second - get new nozzle, new piston head, new cylinder head. Install the nozzle, keep the rest as the spare parts
Third - get a good 140 spring. Sometimes the gears can't take the 150 spring and break, so don't risk, unless you got spare gears or gearbox.
Purple Prometeus rubber and 6.01 650mm barrel should also do some improvements.
The real pain in the ass is the external parts and spare gearbox walls. They can be bought only from those who have their guns broken. Or you can get a Real Sword gearbox to begin with and feel fine.
So, I have a 169-170 m/s bb speed, everything is pretty reliable. But I'm unable to play because of shitty chink stock falling apart. So, you'd better get an SVD-S.

Speaking of spare parts of the G&G FNC. They made this reinforced hop up unit part for the GK5C model, which actually comes with the ver2 GK5C (pic related) but it fits perfectly to the GF76 (basic FNC) as well, since they're literally the same gun.
The block decreases the chance of gearbox cracking since it's slightly modified ver 2. it also helps the hop up to stay in place better, offering a better air seal.
And by the way, all of the internal problems you usually encounter with G&Gs FNC are caused by the hop up. There has been other problems in the later versions as well.
Charging handle will ALWAYS break during the first month of using the gun. G&G decided that t would be a good idea to make it out of cheap aluminum
The pin that held the folding stock in the GF76 models would break almost instantly if not soon after unboxing and folding the stock couple of times.
GK5C ver 1 was literally unplayable out of the box because G&G fucked up the machining of the parts. Hop up unit had to be filed a bit in order to get the gun feed and the stock screw that connected to the gearbox (if properly screwed tight) would cause the gearbox to move and fuck up the air seal of the nozzle.
90% of the time it usually works pretty well though, especially the older GF76 model and for what I've heard the GK5C ver2 model is alright too.

Gotta correct myself: The handle IS steel but the block where it's connected to isn't, that's aluminum.
The handle is thin and flimsy tho which causes is to get loose and eat the threads of the block where it's screwed in. Or it just snaps from the part where the threading begins and leaves the threaded part in the block which sucks to get out.

My ear pro has a wire for comms that I don't need. If have it run to a PTT that goes into a fake radio so I don't have random, loose dangling wires going nowhere, is that okay or is it fake nvgs teir?
Don't want to cut the wire and I can't have it wrapped around a helmet or something because I don't use one.

G&G AK5 (GF85) will accept the old style (GF76) handguards with no problem. No tinkering required.
G&G GK5C won't accept the old model handguards. Even though the dimensions are the same and the ring on the receiver side is same, the front end lacks the part attached to the barrel (pic related) which keeps the handguards together. You're going to need to make that part by yourself or get it from G&G part maintenance directly from taiwan.
There might be some other minor things as well but that is the greatest issue.
The GK5D model wont accept the old model handguards at all without heavy modding, because it's barrel itself is shorter and it also lacks the part previously mentioned.
tldr;
The oldest swedeFNC yes, newest ones no, not without creativity and tools.
