I was going to do the whole Black Hawk Down striping on my M14, but I came to the conclusion that it was sort of cliche so I just opted for a basic tan paint job worn down.

I would camo my guns, but I'm not confident in my own abilities to do it. Furthermore, if I camo a gun then what will I do in a different environment demanding a different design or camo? I just keep my guns normal with personalization in the way of rape in needed parts, keychains, and survival items

I camo'd one of my gats because it was made out of cheap plastic. I stuck to basic forest colors; black, cb, green, brown. Sponge painted them on and I'm quite pleased with it. As per usual I don't have a photograph so just use your imagination, anon.

I've cobbled together an M4 from a bunch of bits, but, while the externals are solid and the gearbox seems to be in perfect order, I can't get the fucker to shoot right.

some of the time when I fire (in semi), the bbs come out probably not doing half the speed they should. Other times, they fly wild, left or right. Almost never does it actually shoot a BB at a proper velocity directly towards the target.

The hopup unit is a brand new G&P metal one-piece unit, with the bucking and nubbin that come with it. The barrel is some mystery meat aluminum walmart shit. Seems to fit together fine.

I just now took out the hopup bucking, turned it inside-out, and washed it with soap to get off any oils that might have gotten on it, but now it's dark and I can't see how it's shooting.

Is there anything else obvious I might have missed?

I did because my L96 was flat black so I grabbed some pine, cedar, and maple leaves and just sprayed over them

For AEG VFC is the best choice for quality of internals/externals.

After prodding it a while, I believe the problem may have been caused by a shitty tappet spring, and I have scrounged a suitable replacement. Unfortuantely, it is once again too dark to see how the BBs fly. Shooting a nearby box, every shot goes through both sides, so my hopes are up.

I also dental floss'd the hopup bucking to the barrel, and put O-rings on the inner barrel to shim it against the gearbox.

Well, now the fucker fires properly, with consistent velocity, but the shots curve hard to the right. Barrel does not appear to be bent. Disassembled the Hop Up, replaced the little rubber tube spacer with a fishbone H-type spacer, and re-assembled everything again, no change.

The 733 has a 11.5-inch barrel that's either A1 or A2 profile and can have a mix of A1 and A2 receiver parts (For example an A1 upper on an A2 lower).
The 753 is an M16A1 with a collapsing stock and 14.5 in barel.

That sling is attached onto the FSB and the rear sling loop via paracord and 100mph tape. It's an old method from SF in Vietnam who would use cloth slings with paracord fixtures so the rifle wouldn't rattle like if they used USGI slings with the metal loops.

Bled out at a milsim event so I had to ghost behind my squad, so I folded the stock and kept it comfy.

I had lent my sling to the squad's SAW gunner, so I was without that too, and at some point when we had to disengage fast or were just in the bush waiting I set it down and lost it.

Mind you, I was under hydrated and hadn't eaten and was actually hallucinating at times, so I was just kind of autopiloting. I had no idea I didn't even have my gun on me until probably 40 minutes of walking later. I had to call it quits about 2-3 hours after that little incident, but on the second day the squad managed to find the gun just chillin in the woods.
