most high end guns tend to have properly fitted and high quality externals and components, which is a big deal for tuning guns perfectly, as it dictates the way in which gearboxes/hopups/barrels sit into it and how much abuse the parts can take.

it absolutely depends on specifics of brands used and modifications performed, too. G&G CM's, for example, will have wobbly as fuck outer barrels and receivers so you'll have to spend a lot of time stabilizing that with shims and screws if you want it fitted as well as other brands.

note that I mention tuning. you can't just throw $200 in upgrades at a $100 gun and have it outperform a TM. loads of work goes into actually making the parts work properly together, let alone outperform certain brands.

The spur gear has a spring on it stolen from a clicky pen. the other two are shimmed normappy. The idea is that the spring pushes the spur into the sweet spot of max contact and little friction. In reality this usually works like shite because the spring causes extra friction, is not near as good as properly shimmed gears. and has the added danger of the spring plonking the gear off the axle or the sping breaking and jamming your gearbox, potentially breaking other parts with it.

Like I said, good performance out of the box and their hopups are really why you would buy a TM that isn't a special snowflake gun.
My friend has a TM XM-177 that's at least 15 years old and only recently did it shit the bed due to the gears stripping. Obviously an upgraded G&P or Krytac would blow it out of the water, but god damn it's probably the best shooting stock gun I've used.

I'm pretty pissed at this point because I didn't bring another sidearm but to my surprise I start shooting at the 'range' and I'm not only outranging other pistols but also hitting targets more accurately.

They're not too heavy since modern tanks are made from woven carbon fiber or fiberglass. HPA was the norm before Tokyo Marui introduced the modern AEG in the late (I believe) 90s, and back then they were usually metal.

One guy is Tony Montana on the balcony overlooking the arena, and he shoots down on everybody else. He can only be killed by the assassin with a grenade launcher. Their job is to sneak over to the second staircase that's behind Tony Montana while the rest of the team distracts him by just constantly shooting BBs at him. Everyone but Tony Montana can respawn after being killed. Also this is playing the whole time, and functions as the timer. If the song ends before Tony Montana dies then he wins.
