This year's SMUG Squad Milsim trip will be at Milsim West's The Caspian Gap on OCTOBER 21-23 IN PERRY, GA AT THE GUARDIAN CENTER. Then ENTIRE facility is in play, not just the 75 odd acres that American Milsim got access to during Ironhorse, but the ENTIRE 850 ACRES OF FIRST RESPONDER FACILITY. This includes an abandoned highway littered with cars, plenty of innawoods, and the best part of all, a huge 75 acre mout facility complete with a full-scale subway training facility. Faction will be Cossacks. required attire is at least a track jacket (track pants recommended) over a telnyshka. OD or Russian cammo bottoms are also acceptable if preferred. There will be a group buy from grey-shop for Mockba sneakers and any other Russian gear for anyone going, to be delivered by hand at meetup.

One carpool is coming out of Conneticut going south. The second is coming out of Milwaukee-Chicago area and will be picking up anyone flying into the Atlanta airport. These carpools will be leaving in time to get to Perry by 1200 on that Friday. The third carpool will be out of the Boston area and arrive a day earlier to stay at the hotel which will be our meetup point. Once we have everything we need, including any needed trips to local stores for food and other supplies, we'll head over to the AO,

Wanted to post this again since I think it was lost early on in the last thread; Built this thing in Junior Highschool carpentry out of the bottom of a fiberglass sailboat. This thing is the definition of durable, it has not yet broken on me outside of needing to replace the plexiglass for something thicker when a Polarstar guy went point blank on it. Now it is honestly a piece of good work. Everything on it is modular, so I can change the grips, the borders and plexiglass, and gave it a good once over with the black paint.

Well, ideal ammunition weight falls under a few things. Assuming you have a sufficient hop-up assembly for ideal range, then next you'll want to do some physics equations about the deceleration of bbs over distance at standard atmospheric pressure at your initial muzzle energy. They work, but they look fuck ugly and prevent you from aiming comfortably.

Get a SteelMouth , they're 13$ and basically a tiny piece of mesh that covers your mouth that is secured by a balaclava or shemagh.

They make them extremely breathable and i heavily reccomend them.

I already wear one of pic related and I find it quite comfortable to aim with, but it looks like shit and causes my goggles to fog up when its cold or rainy.

I was thinking of building a remote control mine (like a claymore). What would be the best way to propel the BB's? Gas or some mechanical solution? I was thinking of something with a small-ish gas chamber, an electornically controlled solenoid valve and some plastic tubing to transport the gas and hold the BB's

What lower face masks are you wearing?

I bought it years ago from Ebairsoft.com, it was listed as Cacique Half-skull Black+Silver. It saved my face a couple of times, but it's not very easy to wear and required some extra foam here and there from day one.
It's pretty easy to wear it under headphones though, no need for extra straps then.
It's absolutely impossible to comfortably aim with F2000 though, I have to squeeze my fucking face against the gun and the mask pushes the goggles upwards. As I intend to make F2000 my primary, I think it's time to put the edgy skull era behind.

It should make some noise, fling the bb's in a wide spread and scare kids.

People that do proper cardio don't look like're out of auschwitz because they actually have a decent diet as well. Eating proper and doing the minimal recommended exercise will keep you physically fit for airsoft and fleshed out.

I've bought second-hand from a trusted guy, but he had the regular semi-auto issues he fixed by adding a MOSFET and modyfing that one part that's responsible for semi-auto fire.
There are mag issues, there's a gearbox screw located in a place that most likely won't allow your mag to enter fully - I fixed this by grinding away part of the plastic, but still.
Also, the reload handle tends to break, especially if you do the FN-slap. I already bought some from G&G so it's okay.
V6 gearbox parts are pretty rare and it takes some time go get the battery in place, hop-up unit is proprietary. I plan to throw the Bingo Airsoft HPA Drop in kit inside. Additional rails are expensive too.

Well you asked. My Insurgent loadout that will make gearfags everywhere whine. I've played with it once with an LCT AMD-65 in the place of my main rifle, worked pretty damn well. I'm probably going to use this as my main loadout.

Well a denser round has a higher impact in general, but unless there is proper power behind it, it will be slowed as it travels.

First of all, get your gun chronoed. If you're firing at any less than 400fps with .20's, it's hard to justify going any higher than .25's. If your gbbr can broach that threshold, try different weights and chrono as you go.

A denser round will fly less erratically, so you want to find a balance between velocity and bb weight. Experiment until you have good range, consistent grouping as well as adequate velocity.

I would give it a try. If you don't have a chrono, just eyeball the speed of your rounds, and do some distance shooting to see the difference in your groupings as you up the weight.

As far as weights to try, maybe get some .28's, .30's and .35's. Unless you've got some souped up sniper firing in the 600 fps range, I doubt you'd have enough power for .40's.

I found the only pistols worth feeding higher density bb's were non blow backs like revolvers.

I'm making a CO2 powered muzzle loaded "shotgun"/grenade launcher of sorts that fires atleast 50 BB's per shot. Using BB's would be expensive and I don't really need it to fire BB's as its muzzle loaded. What are some biodegradable cost effective projectiles that still fly allright? I was thinking of using dried peas, as they are both cheap and certainly biodegradable, but I'm open to other options. Would peas attract birds to the field?

You could carefully port the inner barrel, that will definitely reduce the FPS. Depending on the gun there are other ways as well. But mostly if a CO2 gun is shooting hot by default its better to find a more skirmishable gun.

I have a WE Hi Capa 5.1 with five fucking mags (one WELL, one WELL CO2, rest WE). I've been thinking about getting HPA tapping it, as it's not very good on green gas in this climate and some mags are leaky after ten years.

Did anyone else stop finding the sport appealing? I was doing this for 5 years and I really liked it, but then after a hiatus since March I went to a game a week ago and I just didn't feel like it was fun anymore. It's not that I was bored, but the same situations that used to excite me just stress me out. Also to answer the OP question, my favourite subgun is the AGM MP40, even though mine is sounding like shit these days. I chronoed it the other day and discovered it had dropped 50 FPS since it was measured about this time last year, and it's starting to sound bad when it's shooting. The subgun I want the most is probably a good AEG Type 100.
