Well so far the terrain at Red Dawn sucked. It was really muddy but I just sucked it up and stopped being such a sissy suburbanite. My boots were encased in mud by the end of the game.

Has anyone else had issues with newer hexmags having the follower get stuck along the track? I used a teammate's hexmags for a while and they worked great but when I got my own in January I kept running into that issues.

Since I heard that a AEG OTs-03 SVU was being released i've been considering getting a full Russian MVD (ministry of internal affairs) kit. Kit is going to be a Gorka E suit in partizan camouflage, black replica Kora Kulon body armor, a replica ZSH-1-2M helmet with visor and a SVD SMERSH vest. Should look very similar to pic related. As for weapons i'm going to upgrade to a prometheus tightbore and bucking. Probably going to run the WE PMM as a sidearm.

Thoughts?

I have only ever been on one field and have been since 2009, but by far the worst terrain I've been on at that field was 1: when I went through a couple hundred feet of thick brier bushes and vines silently to flank an enemy position- the second worst was when it was freezing cold in the morning, monsoon rain by 12:00, spring weather mid-noon, and freezing cold again at evening. The mud was so bad it rivaled the trenches of Verdun and resulted in using pallets and plywood as flooring. I was sliding all around the field thanks to that mud so it wasn't all bad

Shoreham was used a few times but I believe there were some issues with GMR using unauthorized Pyro or something. I know Crossfire and Ronin are friends. The Poconos AO sold after Crossfire already made an agreement with the previous owner and the new people were kind enough to give him access one time before they developed. Rumor has it Fitchburg has sold as well so there's a chance the next game there will be the last. I'm bummed because I've wanted to play that AO for the last 3 and every time a game happens, something comes up. I'll probably run event media for the next one.

No exact budget. Was just going to save for the kit that I planned to get. That being said in its current state the MVD kit is around 1.7k canacuck dollars. As for what I want to use for this kit i'm still debating a AK74 for standard role, a PKM for maximum dakka or the SVU and play a marksman role. The only reason I chose MVD kit was because theyre the only Russian branch that uses the SVU.

I don't think anyone would have nearly as much a problem if the guy posted his OWN pictures like the Spainbros do. Instead he just posts generic loadouts from instagram or reddit, and that's not particularly interesting, nor does it add to the conversation. I use a kill-flash on my eotech repro, which makes it pretty damn dark for one-eye aiming, but that's not how you're supposed to use a red-dot. You keep both eyes open and focus on the dot. The barrels themselves have terrible consistency. Novritsch basically has no idea how the internals of a bolt action work and leaves it all up to his Filipino tech. He just puts his name on the substandard, overpriced shit the islander sells.

I went for the discontinued SCARs myself, such as the WE AEG SCARs and Classic Army Prolines. Don't do what I did. Finding nozzle upgrades, gear height fitment with new generation Version 2 gearbox gears, trigger sled fitment issues; these SCARs are grab bag of problems. Just go for VFC or TM, don't look back. Dboys is like a lottery; you might get a rock solid performer that can take mountains of abuse, or you might get a lemon that fails to cycle out of the box.

Lastly, if you're looking to upgrade, Umbrella has seriously good service. Airsplat techs, Airsoft GI, and Evike techs are just dudes working 9-5 who don't give a shit about you're needs and consider actually talking to a customer one step above talking to the crazy man on the train/bus. You talk with Allen one on one, he'll set you up with everything you need to know. Airsoft upgrading is just like everything else mechanical; you'll want the absolute best service backed by the strongest warranties first time around, or you'll be paying for shit later down the road.
