so i have now identified the problem, when the motorplate is screwed in it does not fire, when its screwed out it fires. the adjustment screw makes no difference. looks like it fires pretty well when the motorplate is half screwed in. what could cause this problem?

Try to make sure the the motor is actually straight on the end cap. Sometimes the wires can push it off axis or the cap sits on the wires.

The FAMAS was one of the original electric gun designs, and is about 20 years old.
If it was a Marui, it'd be fine, but it's a Chinese clone of a 20 year old design.
From what I've heard, there's also not much out there in terms of parts since Version 1 gearboxes are only used in the FAMAS.

I've got a Marui FAMAS, completely stock.

Some points, good and bad: it's a solid performer out the box, with good range, decent accuracy, and plenty of battery space. On the other hand, it creaks like an old man, has very few upgrade options, and occasionally locks up on semi-auto.

The Cybergun is a rebranded Jing Peng (if I remember correctly) which in turn is a clone of the Marui, so will probably suffer the same problems as all clones do - you might get a complete lemon, or one that's indistinguishable from the original.

Personally, I love mine.

I've been told by other people here that cybergun rebrands of VFC pistols like the FNX are pretty great. I can at least tell you the FNX is pretty awesome. Really sturdy and well built, kicks very nicely, fun to shoot, and sexy as heck~.

It's made in Japan, so the tolerances are tight. The bolt pull with Laylax cylinder was very smooth even with M190 spring as tested today. It has couple small pros over the VSR in design, but nothing major. It's a lot sturdier though which makes the VSR feel like a toygun. It used to be the most accurate stock rifle back in the day, but nowadays most AEGs would probably outrange it. PDI and Laylax are pretty much the only manufacturers making parts for it, so it'll cost a small fortune to upgrade. Laylax parts are nigh impossible to break, so he only needs to change the bucking and make couple simple mods to get an excellent rifle.

Get a D3CR-H and it'll hold pretty much everything but subgun mags (and 417 mags, but who owns one of those snowfake cannons anyway?). The Standard will hold mags as slim as MP5 mags to 7.62x39. I know a guy with one of the MBC copies, and they're apparently really comfy. They'll also be compatible with all the real HSP accessories, so you can mount a pistol the pistol wedge or extra mag pouches no problem, and the mag inserts, which are especially necessary for the heavy version.

So let me preface this by saying something. The guy i got everything in pic related from is absolutely fucking tier 1 bro-tier. I bought everything in that picture from him besides the ak and optic on the ak. Those gloves? I only had 8 bucks in my wallet and they were 15, ask him and he gives me them for 8 bucks. Those mags? He sold me 2 that didnt feed because my ak is weird, I beat them to hell and he accepted them (without the package) and gave me 2 brand new perfect fitting and feeding mid caos. That 1911? I broke it specifically both the mags and the hammer (and he knew) repaired it under warranty out of his pocket and gave me 12 Co2 canisters (in pic related, although I used some) He also repaired an other feeding issue in my ak for free. He knows his shit, has a lot of shit (especially for how small a shop he is), is really nice and is a major online retailer. If you're wondering who this is its New England Airsoft And Tactical, Borne, MA really cool dude and I completely recommend him.

Now, I mention this because my experience with the gun (EF 1911 TAC BLACK/TAN) might be skewed because of the treatment I got.

Long story short, both mags ex-fucking-sploded in my hands (One 3weeks of use other 4 weeks) and I'm not exaggerating in the slightest when i say this; This was some titinus level bullshit, like my ears were ringing for days after both.
Then after that, I dropped it for the first time on concrete (high again) and the hammer legit shattered. But I got it all repaired for free so I'm not complaining.

Disregarding all of the above; when not broke it's a fucking beast and it's the most satisfying thing dinking niggas with it, loud af, notable recoil and exceptional impact/pain.

I own one in black for my harness rig, and right now it's jerry rigged with just the harness as a cycling hydro carrier. I had the same problem with G&P midcaps. No matter how well I lubed them, or how little they were loaded, they always inevitably jammed. I always thought it was the biodegradable BBs we use at my local site that caused it, but I tried it with regular ammo, and no cigar.

What bbs are you using? I've got Cyma midcaps which feed just fine up to 50rps, but when I try loading them up with low quality bbs, they might not feed at all. Why is this? Because the size of low quality bbs can be anything from 5 to 7mm. Always use high quality bbs like G&G, Bioval and Green Devil.
Sometimes there's just some shit in your mags that's blocking the bbs. Disassemble them, take the spring out, clean them with water and let them dry. Don't use any lubricants. They're not going to help you at all and will only decrease your accuracy.

Yeah, I'm not gonna be able to modify the pistol grip to fit on my WE GBB, the hole for the selector-spring is even different in placement, I'd have to remove that entirely to give it space to fit on the gun, and without the spring in place the selector would be flopping around I think

Guess I'll just stuff it in a parts bin (I need to make a parts bin).
I figure I should I ask the retailer the next time if a pistol grip I'm looking at fits on my gun?
