Here's hoping for an Annie return soon to save this series.
Also for her to avenge Bert and kill Armin.
I have the odd desire to listen to old linkin park songs the next few hours after this chapter.
Goodnight Sweet Commander Handsome.
You'll always live in our hearts.
I don't know why everyone love so much BRA if they are traitors and killers. I waiting only for the moment when all this fuckers die in very horrible way.
If Isayama wantes to go that route, he'd have her out of the crystal a long time ago. Now that Bert's dead, it's likely we'll go to either Reiner's or Annie reaction after the basement. Then it'll finally be revealed whether Annie cares about Bert or not.
So does Armin's book about the ocean mention that drinking salt water is bad? What if they get thirsty and drink the water in the ocean and then get dehydrated, drink even more, and then die?
Wall Sina, Goodbye already has some fun Hitch facts. The room she shares with Annie has empty wine bottles, mushy romance novels (I wonder if she's picking up any ideas to use on Marlo), lots of Hitch's clothing scattered across the place along with mouldy bread and dried up fruit.
How is that possible? Zeke didn't know what 3DMG was and it was invented 70 years ago when Before the Fall takes place.
Eren and Shikishima were brothers in the live action, I think. I don't know if that's supposed to mean anything or not.
>3DMG was and it was invented 70 years ago when Before the Fall takes place.
Was that actually stated in the manga though? Because I don't consider any of the side material canon at all until Isayama debunks it in the series. I mean, in ACWNR Isabel asked Levi something like did he used to look at the stars where he's from, but in the manga it was revealed he was born and raised in the underground.
I think the movie only has some very vague details about the final story, and they just played with that.
He wasn't like this before. It hurts me as an EAfag to admit you're right now, though. ;_;
You're simply incorrect, friend. Letter and Shifter Village rescue arc incoming and we both know it.
I think people liked the potential he had more than anything he ever actually amounted to, being the mascot of the series and all
So his death basically stole away all the appeal he ever had as a character
I can't bring myself to like Eren anymore. And I say this as the biggest Erenfag on /a/ for four years now. Everything past chapter 50 has just degenerated his character to the point where it's almost unrecognizable. Isayama's a hack.
Hello /snk/, how are you doing?
Have you guys heard about the ocean?
I don't know if it's ever stated in the main manga when the 3DMG was invented and released to the military branches honestly. And that part of ACWNR was confusing. I have no idea what she was talking about. Three versions of ACWNR and it wasn't explained in any of them.
Isn't Zeke too young to be Levi's father or do you think shifters live extended lives? I thought it was the opposite since Uri seemed like he was ill, but he was a special case since he had the coordinate.
I was so upset that I had to draw him. Happy. His dreams come true. That he was able to find the answers to the questions he asked his father all those years ago. For all of the lost lives to not be in vain.
Does Erwin know about the ocean? Yes, he does. He knows it better than anyone.
How shit will Armin's titan form be in combat? Will he just become a pack mule like Mule Titan?
I still have my doubts though, especially because of the random letter and him making her status mysterious. Then again after this chapter, I think a lot of people don't care anymore if their favorites die. Looks like some even want them to die.
Armin should have been MC from the beginning.
>has good chemistry with everybody
>better justification for revenge
>Eren and Mikasa elder sibling role
>tsundere and uptight Annie as love interest
>Bert as rival
This anime is litterly >>>/pol/ the anime kek.
This is so beautiful. It's lovely to see him smiling. He does know about the ocean, his father told him and he read about it.
He saw the ocean in his eyes whenever he looked in the mirror.
I love him and miss him.
Unfortunately I am not good at drawing handsome men. Please look past my shoddy drawing skills and believe it is Erwin.
I'm sorry for your, our, lost. He was a great man and his death was some bullshit.
Going to miss that had some faggot
I've been drinking since seeing him die, nothing is working. Plus Moblit dying hits the heart as well.
Fanart makes her look really similar to Annie.
>tsundere and uptight Annie as love interest
I'll never understand this. She was leagues closer to Eren than she ever was to Armin.
I reeealllllyyyy hope the basement will tell us all about the ackermans... Grisha took an Ackerman into adoption for a reason. The same reason that made humanity genocide the Ackermans. Maybe injecting serum into them will make the universe divide by zero.
Zeke does seem to spend lots of time in his titan form. I'm hoping Isayama will explain why his titan can talk. It would be neat if the basement has a bestiary of sorts of the different titan types that Grisha knew and studied about, but that's probably too much to hope for.
It shouldn't have ended so pathetically. He deserved better, like pic related at least. 1/2
>Armin should have been MC from the beginning.
>>has good chemistry with everybody
>>better justification for revenge
>>Eren and Mikasa elder sibling role
>>tsundere and uptight Annie as love interest
>>Bert as rival
oh so dis
I have a theory that when injected Ackermans don't become entirely mindless and retain some of their mental awareness, but not as much as titan shifters do. In other words, Ackermans become similiar to aberrant titans. I'm probably really wrong, but it's fun to speculate nonetheless.
l agree l can't wait to see her return and fall in love with armin sama
l'm sure they'll have good laughs together when armin tells her how he munched on quadruple amputee bort who was begging for his life
That's the same way Eren justifies how he killed them. Thing is, we all know Eren would be more than willing to kill others that are scum of the earth, he just thinks of it as exterminating pests instead of murder. But it'd still be murder. He had a lot of potential for a shonen protagonist.
I hope we can expect at least one cuck doujin to come out of this
I think Grisha was working on a titan antidote in the basement that he never finished. But yeah there's probably tons of books and journals down there that explains a lot about titans, shifters and titan town.
I think Grisha wanted to experiment on her, but never got around to it. Or maybe he did, who knows.
I don't think so, if anything it's proof that he was just putting up a front when he was acting composed. He did throw away all of the potential, as well as his mascot, which is just retarded no matter how I look at it.
I guess you have a point. It's hard to think of any moral leg BRA and Zeke could have to stand on after killing so many innocents, but let's see if Isayama can believably justify their actions.
The SL is on expedition 57, right? And they seem to have more than one expedition a year. So that alone could explain why Zeke never heard of 3DMG if he visited the walls 30 years ago, and especially if he only managed to stay underground.
Isn't 3DMG sold on the black market in the underground? But then again Erwin was surprised when he heard that there was a group of thugs in the underground with 3DMG, implying that it's not common down there. ACWNR didn't explain that much and the canon manga doesn't touch on the underground all that much.
Okay, let's consider that their plan had to be something that Eren, the protagonist would agree with if given the proper explanation. They claim a lot that "there's no future inside the walls" and that the royalty are the ones to blame. Assuming that Isayama didn't pull the Reiss mind control out of his ass as he wrote it, then you can assume that what they meant by "no future" is that the mind control must be the royalty's means of keeping the people at bay and content. It's also likely a last resort since we know they use the MPs to stifle any development that might make the commoners get a leg up on the royalty.
Since we haven't seen the coordinate used like that yet, but assuming it's the reason why the outsiders to the walls are so intent on destroying them, and thereby getting rid of the royalty, the warriors must have been watching those people inside the walls get mindfucked over and over again and considered it a mercy to kill some of them in order to get rid of the royalty. It's like blowing up a building to give a better view of the skyline, or something like that.
Either that or I'm talking out of my ass, only to be disproven by the next chapter.
So I just stumbled upon these images.... Does anyone else have the rest of the doujin, and if they do is there a translated version?
Please I need this in my life.
What kind of music do you think:
WOW look at these cuties! Perfect!
>Isayama had the chance to make it real
>never took it
If Annie was in Bert's place this chapter, he'd have done to her what he did to him without hesitation. He'll give her the same cruel death if someone else needs a serum and she's within reach.
It was kind of therapeutic so yes, it did a little bit. Bob Ross said that the reason he paints is so that he can create the kind of world that he wants and he can make it as happy as he wants. I created a happy reality that does exist. In my universe a happy Erwin is at the ocean and anyone who wants to come is invited.
Bull fucking shit he would. He didn't hesitate at all when it came to fighting Bertolt and Reiner. It took him like three volumes to muster the determination to fight Annie, and even then he did it without the intent to kill.
> Helps to capture AT and leaves EAr
> Armin burns to bbq
> Mikasa leaves SCJH with Reiner and goes to EAr to see them
> Reiner escapes after
>implying his relationship with Annie wasn't entirely different
>implying she wasn't his friend right after armin and mikasa
>implying he would be so abrasive when she didn't play a part in actually breaking down the walls (at least, to his knowledge)
I'd argue with the 'without hesitation' part as EA were implied to have had a (relatively) strong bond back in their trainee days, but yes, I know, anon, and that's precisely why it hurts.
She wiped out most of the scouting legion. He was perfectly okay with capturing her knowing it would end with her getting tortured mercilessly by the Scouts. What the fuck are you smoking?
Fuck you, I still have hope that Eren won't be an unlikeable faggot one day
He promised Bertolt face to face that he'd kill them and watch them die the most painful way possible. He still thinks of Annie with respect even after all she did. See the difference?
You're not wrong. I'm just mad that Isayama's inconsistent with his character. If he wants to write him as muh ocean and Armin, then he should have done that from the start so we don't set our expectations higher than that.
>Annie don't give two shit about Eren.
I disagree with this part. Annie cared about the people around her, Eren included. It's her "flaw" that caused her to make a mess of the mission.
The veteran characters are your best bet. They are reliable and caring, without being little shits.
I can see why.
Guns, tanks, missiles, swords, mosques, marching soldiers, Saddam's kids, all telling the US to come in if they dare. Really dank stuff.
>Remember that time you lost your arm leading the charge to rescue me from Reiner, Armin? I really appreciate that.
You can still like and love them!
I can imagine Levi suggesting to Erwin to play this to the troops to motivate them. Erwin probably prefers more traditional, Germanic style music.
What do you mean? They're practically canon.
Why is everyone so mad at Eren in this chapter? He wanted to save his best friend over the commander and gave reasons why. Armin has made more contributions to humanity than Erwin and he fucking likes him more. Of course he would be upset at not being able to take the chance to bring his best friend back. He believes he's the only one who can help get humanity through this hellhole and let him see the ocean (Free humanity from the oppression and fear of titans.)
He was much more annoying in other chapters.
"Remember when you told Levi to beat me up in front of the judge so you two could save my life, Armin? I sure do.
They didn't we thought they had weapons of mass destruction
Love her BR work
The writing is not convincing. Author's job is to make readers to believe what is happening or in the character's words and behaviors, even if they don't agree with them. See how people are not mad about Erwin and Bert dying, but about the excuses of their deaths. An a writer shouldn't try to excuse characters but bring elements to make readers form their own opinions.
>"Remember when you carried that boulder all the way through and filled the hole in the gate saving Wall Rose Armin? I sure do."
No anon. Don't bully the Sasha.
I thought the excuse that Armin was the one who figured that they should use a large rock to plug the wall was especially retarded, considering that the rock was there with the express purpose of plugging the wall if the time need be. Armin just repeated its purpose at the right time.
It still hurts anon.
Now that you mention this, isn't that quite interesting? That rock was just there and its entire purpose was covering up an eventual hole in the wall. It's as if the person who put it there knew that was a possibility.
This line made me realize that Isayama is a disgusting Shitminfag. Fuckin cringe
>the savior of humanity isn't me
Why the fuck Isayama doubled back on Eren's hero complex is beyond me. It was a really good part of his character, it made him unhealthily obsessed with being the hero and it was great seeing him tear himself apart in the process.
>"Remember when you carried the entire squad and revolution on your back when Erwin was arrested while Hanji was sitting by a cabin doing litterally nothing, Armin? I sure do."
Armin's advantage was that he was with Eren from the beginning. While everyone else was scared shitless of him because they didn't know what he was Armin already believed that he was on their side. I'm sure Pixiv could have though of a plan that simple. Now that the higher-ups know what he is and what he's capable of they could strategize with him too. A lot of times Armin was just in the right place at the right time and was incredibly lucky. Figuring out who the FT is? That's because she spared him and kept giving him big clues. If he hadn't worked on the 3DMG with Marco he probably wouldn't have figured it out either. He's just stupidly lucky. He's smart but not enough to wet yourselves over.
I miss it when it felt like the only way to overcome the titans was to work together and sacrifice together. The way that the SC all worked together after Eren took down Annie was a good moment.
I understand you when it comes to Erwin dying, his death was set in stone because of the feelings of a teenager swayed a grown man.. I've seen no one upset with Bertholdt dying though. He was a terrible character.
>The way that the SC all worked together after Eren took down Annie was a good moment.
We'll never have these moments back. It hurts.
This. SL was about humans against titans. That's why there was value on people like Manlet and Mike, and Manlet's squad. People with solo fights and team group fights, no shifters and not the super smart Armin McGyver to solve everything.
So this....is the power....... of Armin.
>following pages where they completely disregard Ymir potentially being one of the three
>"Remember when you runned all the way to Sina, fought the most strong titan of all time and won, give up your life just so I could have the coordinate, and made me swear I would be the one strong enough to save humanity and end this, Armin? I sure do."
We had a lot of fun in the political arc.
We just didn't know it then.
Moblit and Erwin
Out of all the chapters released after the coordinate reveal, this one hit the hardest. If it had been released earlier, I could have said the series was nicely finished right at that reveal.
People rejecting her
She realising her autism made her into someone people don't trust
Eren and Armin rejecting her
Like making plans to go to the ocean while ignore her
Being overpowered by Manlet. And mostly because she held a grudge against him, so Manlet beat the shit out of her would be really painful
I love that Erwin browses /his/. It's a great board.
Aww. Sweet Erwin.
Just as I would hope! Not long to go now!
Great list! Jean seems especially on point.
It's no surprise that Zackly browses /b/
Time to confess your sins, anon. Manlet is going to forgive you.
I pray to Erwin every day every hour every minute
Before I found my true love and devotion in Erwin I used to fantasise that Levi was my husband and Erwin was my brother. I had mothered children from the two of them.
Do YOU know about the Ocean, anon?
Kek. This was the same guy. Clueless till the very end.
Because hngggggg. I want all three right here right now
Probably. I just want Erwin's friend to be happy.
Guy on the right is taken but you can have either of the other two and we can have tea together.
https://twitter.com/ERURl_ (apparently throwing her copies of the manga in the toilet and taking pics)
He might be the type who enjoys a lot of attention. You've got Nile.
Remember everyone, Mike is still available!
I definitely will! Do you know their name?
Only EM, the little shits, think that saving Armin over Erwin is the best for humanity.
