I've been having a re-occurring dream frequently for the past few months. Or rather, the dreams have the same setting, start and ending, but the content differs.
It begins with me waking up in what seems to be my own bed. I can partly control my body, like looking around and sometimes I can control my hands, but it seems to mostly run on autopilot. I usually look at the alarm clock to see what time it is (usually about 2 or 3 in the morning) and then do something minor and trivial like go relieve myself, have something to drink or go stand on my balcony for a bit. At some point I wake up, back in my bed. However in these dreams my apartment is slightly different than it is in real life. The alarm clock looks more expensive, there's generally nicer furniture, dream--me has a microwave oven, and one of my bookcases are missing. Also, whenever my dream takes me out on the balcony, a familiar female voice talks to me from behind and ask if I "had that dream where you wake up alone again" but I never managed to see the source before waking up. (I am alone, haven't had a girlfriend for years)
A few days ago, I got an idea where I've head the female voice before (albeit slightly different), and I think I've identified the voice as belonging to a girl I went to highschool with. I had a crush on her but she had a boyfriend who I knew well so out of respect for him I kept it to myself. Final year of highschool he cheated on her, they broke up and she hanged herself not long thereafter.
My question to /x/ is this: Does anyone have an idea as to why I have these dreams?

In the future everything will be LARPing
Soon it will come to be realized that life will be boring.
Exciting things so not happen and cannot be induced to happen so
we will all begin to take LARPing to the next nevel.
It will pervade society, LARPing will take place on both a mass social scale and interpersonal one-on-one scale. Larp will be used to spice up life with family, friends, co-workers and even day to day strangers we meet only briefly.
A layer of larp will overlay society as a sort of augmented reality, to make things less monotonous as we go forward, and it will become more and more obvious how boring life is as the next few years pass we will embrace LARPing on a massive scale.
Will you support or fight against this?

Not that anon, but pretty much daily. Doing the LIRP in the morning and LBRP in the evening, both daily, is typically recommended. of course, you can add it in wherever else it's necessary, for banishing or invoking. Also, Regardie gives a great explanation as to how you are supposed to trace the pentagrams, basically (for banishing Earth pentagram) Start at left hip, trace up to a point even with your forehead, down to a point even with your left hip, up even with left shoulder, then across and even with right shoulder, and finally back down even with the left hip again. Until I heard it described this way I was never sure exactly what size to make the pentagrams..

That may be true. However, I am willing to take that risk. Historically, many people have seen strange creatures and phenomenon. My main goal is to compare things people report now to things seen in the past, to see what remains active, if you will. If it's always been fake, then it tells me what phenomenon are still a part of culture. If not, then it tells me what is still active. Either way I learn something interesting.

The related book is one of the neo-pagan glossaries, most of this "magic" comes from the revelations of one or two blokes who "meditated" on the meaning of the runes. These new-age rituals that work best are essentially making talismans in the form of material tulpas - e.g. they work because they remind you of the goal you wish to achieve.
If you want to get into runes, look to Iceland - it's where they're historically best-preserved (in close relation to the language). Also look for historically legitimate rituals like vanir magic. Mountfort's book on Nordic Runes is entry-level, but a good place to start.
TL;DR: don't fall for the "haha we wuz pagans and shiet"
