Definitely change the name of the book. Try to minimize the amount of dialogue as much as possible, unless you write dialogue really well - you don't.

One thing that draws people to paranormal stories is the mystery, the unknown, something you can feel or anticipate but can't really put your finger on. This is what's mostly lacking in your story, it's all very straightforward and on the nose. Now sure, it is possible to write a good straightforward paranormal story, but not when you choose a cliche topic like a musician selling his soul (unless your prose is extraordinary, but let's be real here)

So yeah, relax with the dialogue, let the story tell itself, don't push just outright information/explanation onto the reader and if you're choosing a cliche subject - figure out how to make it fresh

Good number of accounts say on the road at night. Sometimes near forests and cover, I've heard. That's probably your best bet.

I don't remember anything else from that night. I think I might have passed out in fear, or who knows what else. Or maybe I just fell asleep shortly after that. I dunno. But I still remember the exact look of that strange thing that was in my bedroom that night. And I don't think I'll ever forget it.

It's important to tell you this: I think our entire family is cursed. Accidents, poverty, unemployment, constant fights, etc. It's a living hell.

I'm after a surgery now, and BAMM, suddenly this "problematic" family member goes batshit crazy. Many times I'm the one who calms the others and tries to bring peace... but now I can't. I have to heal now.

Sometimes I feel that there is an "evil force" that fucks up peoples lives. It's no accident that this shit happens when I'm weak. I need weapons to fight this malevolent force.

So what should I do? Are there any kinds of rituals of prayers that can banish this evil?
