Story so far: You are Ron, a human who one day turned into a Tepig. Along with your friend Oshawott, you started an exploration team, investigating a mystery of a captured Shaymin, a rogue Tapu Koko, and a dying world. Check the screencaps to catch up!

Rules: Periodically I'll ask for input on what you, Ron (and ONLY Ron), should do. When input is required, I will ask for a set of a few numbers. 5 minutes after asking for those numbers, the LAST post ending in one of the requested numbers will have their suggestion taken for Ron's action. Only posts made AFTER the post asking for a # will count. Other characters will move autonomously, acting of their own will, though you can make suggestions for them.
Dubs and trips will now be counted as 'bonus' or 'add-on' actions, actions that Ron will take, so long as they don't conflict or detract away from the main roll.
(Testing this thread)Dubs and trips (or better) can be countered with dubs (or better) of opposite even-odd (ie, 44 can be countered with 11, 33, 55, etc.)
Other rules: -"Get bragging" will now be ignored. (These trips say x, If quads, x will happen)
-"Securing" is no longer allowed. Attempts to secure an action by use of dubs or better will now result in the original action being nullified and moving to the next-most qualified roll.
Keep note that actions can only be performed within the realm of plausibility. You can't pull out items you don't have, you can't use moves you don't know, you can't willingly try to kill yourself etc. etc.

Is the S/M performance on the old 3DS really that bad? Outside of the occasional triple/quadruple battle, is it on par with the N3DS version? I'd emulate it but I actually want to transfer my Pokemon and stuff.

Mostly this. Slow start loading too, because it requires to do the same thing Smash 3DS did so it can run.
It's not that bad, but if you have very little patience, yeah. I hear it still has lag issues despite being played on a n3ds

I have a Nu-3DSXL, and even tho i never played SM on a regular 3DS, Double Battles sometimes has some very noticeable dips, and when some certain pokemon are being used it's a constant slideshow.
Whenever Mega Altaria is present the game goes into "just fuck my shit up" mode.

What's going on?

Pokemon can only be released one at a time through a trips get, and just catching the first thing I see defeats the purpose of asking what to catch. These rules cannot be changed via any sort of get.

>trips can force mon releases
>quads can force permanent rule changes(within reason)

Hey /vp/ I've got a question, I've been interested in more competitive play/breeding ever since XY and have been getting better at it learning things like IV breeding, egg moves, MMing for shinies, recently swap breeding for viable shinies but there's one thing I still don't quite get and that's EV training. I remember in X there was a weird mini game that made it seem easy but now in my Sun game I'm lost. I just put them on Isle evelup and wait? How do I know what EVs to train, or should I just train all of them max?
Tl;dr someone give me an EV breeding guide for beginners
