Hey /vp/ I've got a question, I've been interested in more competitive play/breeding ever since XY and have been getting better at it learning things like IV breeding, egg moves, MMing for shinies, recently swap breeding for viable shinies but there's one thing I still don't quite get and that's EV training. I remember in X there was a weird mini game that made it seem easy but now in my Sun game I'm lost. I just put them on Isle evelup and wait? How do I know what EVs to train, or should I just train all of them max?
Tl;dr someone give me an EV breeding guide for beginners

Well that's a start I guess but doesn't give me much info. I already know pokemons stats get higher as the chain goes up to a point of 4IVs guaranteed at 31 and shiny and hidden ab chance maxed at 70 or whatever but how do I know which EVs are being affected? How do I even check my pokemons EVs I have no idea, I highly doubt SOS chaining is going to get them maxed out anyways so how do I train rhea higher after that?
