there's a couple edge cases where you only have to wait like one or two levels, and pokemon leveling is quick enough you can easily grind it out.

Just back in gen 3 when Metagross learned Meteor Mash at 55 but Metang did at 50. Now that move relearner teaches you future moves and with player battles and facilities modifying your mon's levels automatically, I don't think there's much point unless it is some weird ass mon during your playthrough.

This is true. It's kind of a power creep two. Groudon kyogre and fug control land water and air or whatever. Then the gen 4 legendaries are creators of the world and time and space and it just keeps getting more ridiculous. Except for gen 6 legends that was a step in the right direction only to be fucked up again my having legendary pokemon from different fucking dimensions

They make thematic sense, they seem like actual dieties without going completely overboard like having them be dieties of the fabric of the universe. They also have a balance that is understandable. Also fug is like Godzilla and protects the earth and stuff but is fairly neutral to humans without being a prick. So that's all cool.

Because I shit you not I left an eevee at the daycare for some reason (not shiny hunting) during the first week I had the game, hatched 1, ONE egg and it was a shiny. Shit my pants because it was the first egg I ever hatched in the game and first shiny encounter.

Did it take the same number of rolls? Probably not. Do you think that means the odds of each die showing 6 is different? Because that's the argument you're making. It's the same chances, just different luck.

So when the die has 4096 sides, the difference between two identical dice can seem pretty huge.
