I'm in a collecting community (pkmncollectors) and I find lots of my rarer dolls on there for much better prices than eBay.
The other anon is correct that they recently put a bunch of gen 5 dolls up for sale, but I don't believe oshawotts pokedoll popped up. His plush is still there though.

Posted this on the previous collection thread. I have another Substitute doll that's larger than the other two, but I boxed it away. The tarot cards/bookcase are made by a small Pokémon shop called Pokébox. They don't add new things to their shop regularly, but the stuff they do make is always high-quality and pretty.

That's really nice! It's always fun looking back to previous photos and seeing how far you've come with a collection. I've always wanted to get into collecting Pokémon merch, but I want to wait until I find a job that pays better than my current one.

Oh, they're great. The rotom as are sons of my favs. Just be careful of fakes when it comes to regular rotom. He's faked a lot. Make sure everything looks legit, don't buy from Chinese sellers, and don't buy from people who use stock photos of the dolls. Always check that there are pictures of the doll's tush tag and hang tag to see if the years match. Also, if you ever see a pokedoll that uses a long red hang tag with a pikachu and the doll was made after 2007 or 2008 it's fake.
Just some pokedoll hunting tips for ya!

Are all up for preorder on Amazon Japan. They have global shipping, but it can be very pricey. However, you're not paying scalper prices for items, they ship stupidly fast with insurance and tracking numbers. I placed my first order with them last Thursday night and my plushies showed up Monday afternoon.

I'd already have preorder all of them, but the dog trio are 35$ each with 15$ shipping -each. Expensive... but at least you know you'll get one.... fuck it. Doing it.

Go to Amazon Japan. Down at the very, very bottom of the page, select English from the drop down. From there, you'll need to set up a new account to log in with. The items you can buy are limited to the sold by and ships from Amazon Japan. When you attach your credit card or payment method, it will let you select what currency you're paying with (US dollar or whatever) and it will total your purchase and shipping in that currency. You can see the shipping cost before the final check out, so don't worry.

Working on cleaning up my poor old Quagsire. He's a Banpresto DX and used to have a Velcro blue cloth around his middle as he was a pillow!

These pictures are about half way through his bath, with just his head scrubbed. You can already see the difference from the damaged body.

I can see how you might imagine that, but no one in my life thinks my collection is a bad thing. My husband thinks it's cute, heaven knows my niece loves coming over to play.

I've loved plushies and collected them since I was a little girl. My dad visited last year and just said "wow, well. You always did like them." Now he sends me small plushies (not Pokemon, just animals he thinks I'll like) and it makes me very happy he thinks of me.

I mean, it's my name on the mortgage, my job that gives me the money to spend, so it's just a bonus no one gives me crap about it.

She was a normal women. Nothing more than that. She loved her family as much as anyone would. But when one of her family, her husband, just disappeared, she couldn't take it. She didn't even know if he was dead or alive, what happened to him. He just disappeared. Depressed, she devoted all her time to finding him. The only clue she had was that he was researching an alternate dimension, so she picked that research up in hopes of finding him. The insane amount of time she devoted to them and her desperation to find her love, slowly lead her subconsciously replacing her husband with Ultra Beasts as the object of her love.

She herself mistook her devotion as love, and it slowly grew into obsession over the span of years. Because she couldn't find Ultra Beasts themselves, the obsession grew from being just about Ultra Beasts, to everything beautiful. And her indention of "beauty" was a bit fucked up. It wasn't about appearance. Only Ultra Beasts were beautiful in appearance. Because she had failed to get results, because things weren't going her way, she found things that did do exactly what she wanted to be beautiful. Anything she controls is beautiful and deserves her love, everything else doesn't.

This is just the backstory. The actual game is still there, you can play and see her there for yourself. This level of complexity is almost NEVER found in villains. Not only that, there is not a single "random" trait she has. Her past and the events she went through define her, like any real person. Her personality is a direct result of that past. She is often accused of being Ragyo ripoff, but she shits all over Ragyo, who was just a random maniac. Simply put, she is a great villain, one who easily shits on most villains in general. No Pokemon villain even comes close to her.

Often times I hate myself and feel ashamed by it, but sometimes I think "why are adults not allowed to own or play with plushes? Why can they only play with 'adult toys' like cars and shit? What makes plushes and stuffed animals a kid only item?"

My family doesn't seem to judge me, but I still feel like they do. My dad judges me kind of, but that's because of the cost not the stuff itself. I feel like he might understand more because he collects old beer cans.

I can understand toys and games actually meant for children and aren't built above their level of thinking, but plushes aren't like that. Why is it seen as childish??

Look at the Beanie Baby craze of the '90s. They got so popular that kids could no longer find them or afford them even if they did find them. It became an adult fueled hobby. Many companies make extremely high end, expensive plushies and dolls and models that aren't intended for little kids at all despite being a "toy."

Are people who run makeup tutorial you tube channels or makeup artists just playing with make up and should grow up? Are guys who are into cars just playing with Hot Wheels and should grow up? Adults who are into building models, RC cars/planes, model trains... so many things are both toys for kids and fun hobbies for adults.

It seems many people who would judge me/you/us as being childish are the kinds of people who would yell at someone for playing a video game while they spend all night on Facebook or in Candy Crush spending hundreds on gems.

I pity people who force themselves to give up things they truly enjoy for the sake of fitting into some mold of what others tell them what an adult should and shouldn't be. If I'm paying my bills and not hurting anyone, then no one gets to say boo about what I enjoy spending my time and money on.

I highly recommend them. I've used them several times to buy from Y!J and never had a problem.

I second zenmarket. I used to use FJ too, and although they're very transparent with their fees, their breakdown is way too complicated. I often felt like I was just robbing myself. The 300 yen flat fee from Zenmarket, plus domestic postage, is just a lot more straightforward.

Yep! No other system fees that I remember (there's a small paypal fee when you deposit first). They give you ¥300 free when you sign up too, and they also hold your items for 45 days, which is 2 weeks longer than FJ.
