It's from part 2 (minus the baseball bat)
Did you spend your free customization points to roll for perks? Did you get anything good, or did RNG give you worthless perks?
I spent lots of my points on Jason kills after having gotten some bad perk rolls. I plan on rolling some more later.
How does /v/ define gameplay?
>>381652458
/v/ doesn't play games
how the game plays
We don't
Should I get a Vive /v/? In the steam summer sale you can get it with a £50 steam voucher and Start Trek VR, seems like a good deal but how far away is the Vive 2? My plan was to just get a Vive 2 day of release but I could experience VR now! I just don't want to be stuck with outdated tech in Q1 2018 help me!!!!!!!
if you're just going to flush your money, can i have it
SteamVR is at least 2018 but it's probably best to wait until then and see how SteamVR turns out. Those new controllers it has looks nice.

VR is pretty cool, it's up to you what you do with your money OP, but there is one thing that needs to be pointed out:
A VR HMD is not the same sort of purchase or commodity as a regular monitor; you won't be using it all the time as compared to a monitor, it's something you might set up and use for short periods every now and then.
I think this might be the main reason for buyers remorse, so before you blow your money on the Vive, that's something to consider.
Also, in case you haven't tried one before, it's worth noting that the current VR HMDs are pretty low-resolution, it might look like a normal 1080p screen on paper but on your HMD the image will be VISIBLY pixelated and have a so-called screen door effect.

WHERE'S THE NEW CONSOLE
I KNOW THERE'S MORE THAN JUST THE FREEMIUM PHONE SHIT
How did this game end up so fucking bad?
I was late to Civ 5, I bought it when the entire game + all expansions was cheap on a summer sale. It is by far one of the best games I have ever played, with infinite replayability and a pretty unique experience each time you play. I enjoyed Civ 5 so much that I went backwards and played Alpha Centauri and Civ 4 (Civ 3 seemed like a prototype for Civ 4 desu).
And then this piece of shit came out. This game is so bad, it has retroactively removed my enjoyment from previous games in the series. This piece of shit belongs on a mobile phone. This pile of absolute garbage is such a huge let down that it stings every time I realise I actually paid for it.
The gameplay is hollow and watered down.
The graphics are awful and distracting.
The tone is almost set as a comedy.
I hate everything about this game.
>>381652076
Everything you've said is spot on. For a game about raising a civilization from the dirt, the whole thing sure doesn't feel epic at all in VI
Civ 6 is better than 5 on release, just wait for the expansions
The problem with these games is by the time they're good they're releasing another one.
>In this game world that we're trying to create, there are these enormous beings called Titans that people live on and, that's their land. But their land, the Titans, are dying. Once they die, they sink into the cloud sea, so all these people are going to lose their land. They're not going to be able to survive, and I think when you look at it in the real world, I think something like that, something similar happens where there is a lot of competition for resources in the world we live in right now.
Resource-based conflict story confirmed. Get hyped.
>>381652063
Wait what? Where's the sauce on this? This shit is completely new

What do nintendo fans think about monster hunter world?
>>381978509
The entire series is shit now that its no longer on Nintendo only.
>>381978509
Nintendo fans, probably salty.
Monster Hunter fans in general, super excited.
>>381978509
If Nintendo fans thought at all they wouldn't be Nintendo fans
With the sales upon us, it's time to make a dent in those backlogs less they grow impossibly large. Post your backlogs /v/ and let anons help you find the courage to tackle them.

It is not less. It is lest you idiot.
I hid all my uncompleted games from my library and bought 20 games today. The cycle begins anew.

>See interesting indie game
>Its procedurally generated roguelike early access
Enough.
Why is thoughtful level design no longer the norm?
>>381651803
>see and interesting game
>get frustrated that other people are bored with it
wow it's like i'm really back in the old days
You answered your own question.
It requires "thought".
The devs have never played good games, or don't remember how they worked and don't want to go back to those games after playing multi million dollar cinematic experiences and having their hands held while someone whispers in their ear that they're a good boy. They literally don't know what thoughtful level design even looks like. People like this aren't qualified to develop games, they only have three options remaining.
1. Make a "progressive" and "deep" walking simulator.
2. Make a skinner box.
3. Make an actual game that's obviously bad.
What better skinner box can one make than one that can potentially last forever? I'm telling you if someone made a good enough singleplayer clone of something like phantasy star portable 2 I just might play it for the rest of my life. Their strategy isn't even incorrect, it's just their execution. I wouldn't be surprised if in most cases these people at first try to make 3, find that the result of their effort sucks, and settle for making 2.
