i present you, a 3d gameboy game
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQAhnNiOu54
I had this game as a kid and played the shit out of it. Although Doom, Duke Nukem, and Wolfenstein were way ahead of it I always thought it was neat to have a 3D engine running on a gameboy.
Oh oh oh, this gameboy game can hold up to 16 fucking gameboys, that is one massive multiplayer game before doom arrived.

>no PC remake of Faceball with multiplayer
Fuck.
About to start my first playthrough of Hordes of the Underdark. Gonna be playing a half-orc fighter/barbarian and I got a couple questions.
Is this campaign very conversation skill check heavy? I mean, will I lose out on a lot of stuff if I lack persuade, intimidate, etc? And if so, which one should I take? Not a lot of skill points as this character. How many companions can I take? I recall there being only one at a time in SoU (so basically just Deekin). And how useful are improved knockdown and disarm? They require 13 int, which seems like quite an investment as a half orc.

Skill checks are on the level of others rpg, despite allowing you to do neat shit
But be prepared because hordes have many ability checks, and fighters lack 99% of them

>Is this campaign very conversation skill check heavy? I mean, will I lose out on a lot of stuff if I lack persuade, intimidate, etc?
NWN has a diplomacy check for almost everything is my impression, compared to bluff and intimidate.
You can only have one companion at a time in the beginning, two later on.
I've never ever used disarm in NWN, doesn't seem very great.

>NWN has a diplomacy check for almost everything is my impression, compared to bluff and intimidate.
Yeah but the immense majority of those are just "sure you can't squeeze in 50 more gold into that quest reward?". And it's always such a meagre amount it's really not worth justifying leveling up the whole skill for it over one of the others.
>"Here's your controller bro, just enter the videogames channel, do you remember the number?"
Thanks bro

Channel 3. Or was it 4? Fuck.
>Hideki Kamiya, famed Japanese video game developer, gave an exclusive interview with IGN regarding his popular Viewtiful Joe series (translated from Japanese). In particular, we wanted to know: whatever happened to Viewtiful Joe 3?
>"With any series, be it movies or video games or anything else, the producers and investors have opinions. This isn't a bad thing by itself. The bad part comes in when they try to tell you their opinions. Viewtiful Joe was popular and famous, but it made no money. This was good enough for me, but not for the people who actually pay to make the game."
>"For the third game in the series, they wanted it to sell a lot of copies, so I consented to hear some of their ideas. I don't really remember all of them, but they were so awful that when I refused to even consider them, they told me I wouldn't get funding for another game. I told them 'okay.' This is why Joe never finished his series. You might be disappointed at this, but I promise it was for the best."
>"The first person told me that talking animals test well with the under-14 demographic, and that colorful and stylized games also test well with the under-14 demographic, so he wanted a third playable character, in addition to Joe and Sylvia, to be a talking dog. Since Joe uses his fists and Sylvia guns, he suggested the dog would use a sword in its mouth. I told him I would consider it as a boss at the absolute most. I was lying."
>>382672280
>"The only suggestion I honestly considered was basing a level on the 'Scary Movie' franchise, which even back then in 2007 was very popular, except because that franchise is so stupid and one-dimensional, the level would just be a cheap-looking set with people referencing pop culture, and all of the pop culture would be Capcom games, and there would be no jokes at any point in the level. I thought was actually sort of clever. In retrospect, I think I wouldn't have done it, though, because [Scary Movie] is much less popular in Japan."
>"At one point, someone insisted we base a level on Paranormal Activity, which back then was at the height of its popularity, and the level would be set in a haunted house while the player is implied to be a couple watching Joe and Sylvia via cameras they set up throughout the level. I said this idea was stupid."
>"One person felt acting is an important part of movies, so for a game satirizing movies, it should be an important part of this as well. He told me that our third game should have a famous voice actor play the villain, and market it heavily. He told me some options, but the only one I remember was 'That American with the scratchy voice, the English-language video game crowd loves him.'"
>"After hours of suggestions like these, I told them to let me make the game my way or to pull the plug on the franchise. I don't have to tell you which they chose."

Why would you spend all that time writing up a fake interview? Get help.
Tfw my older sister is normie trash and not even a gamer but for some reason really likes playing shitty jump scare horror gimmick games like amnesia, slender, five nights at Freddie's or whatever, even though I hate those games.
What gives? Why do female-persons like them so much? Is it cause they like screaming loud? My sister even goes full hardcore and turns the lights off when she plays them for maximum scare, not even I have balls for that. I go like watching her play jump scare games though, it's fun to see her totally freak out and grab on to me whenever she gets her shit exploded. Yet she seems to keep enjoying playing them.
Fear make woman aroused.
>>382672209
Screaming loud is like having an orgasm it makes her horny, your big sister probably enjoys playing when you're around cause she thinks you're cute and she's kinda attracted to you.
>>382672209
>why do females love horror games
Because they love playing shit that don't require actual skill or reflexes. Look at something as normie as Call of Duty. Not a single pro player is female because they don't have the reaction time or reflexes to be even semi decent at a high level of play. Same applies to any other game that requires a certain level of skill.
So how hard will the new Atari system fuck every other system on a scale of 1 to groovy?

Hey guys! I just got fallout 4 on Saturday and it just finished downloading this morning. I finally managed to get it running on my gt610 at a smooth and constant 20-28fps after an hour or two of tweaking some files. Anyways, I just started, so does anyone have any tips? I'm at the part where you follow Preston up to a bridge and then he tells you to save a settlement and then go to diamond city. Anyone got any tips? Any early game hints for a first play through? (Ala hollowed out rock near megaton in fo3?) Thanks. Also, anyone know how to make a cheap pip boy holder thing? Ive just been holding it onto my arm with some rubberbands, and I dont really have 350$ to spend on the think geek one nor 100$ on a resold plastic one, plus most of them dont ship to my country.

can i play 3ds games without playing pic related?
>>382671593
You can, but 999 is the best of the trilogy.
>>382671593
As long as you never plan to play 999 sure, it would probably make them more enjoyable, otherwise they will ruin the best game of the series.
No.
You are now aware the only good GTA games do not have numbers in their names.
III, IV and V are good

So GTA 2 is the only bad game?
>a direct so soon after E3
What did they mean by this?
What are you hyped for?
What will be shown?
What do you WANT to be shown?Squid thread
>>382671361
Maybe they'll change the Salmon run to have a normal online mode and a special version for seasons instead of only having seasons.
>>382671361
I want more clothing to be shown. Need moar /fa/ in my splatoon.
>>382671361
What else could they possibly show at this point?
Doesn't the game come out in like two weeks?
*ruins your story*
*ruins your league*
>>382671375
what, you don't like seeing the exact same teams in the finals for the foreseeable future?
Elma was one of the better parts about XCX
I just failed the Giygas fight and I really can't unsee the baby. Does /v/ think it was deliberate? Or, does /v/ believe the full interpretation of the theory? I think it's a deliberate design choice to make the player uncomfortable
I'm gonna play Earthbound Zero after this, with the 25th anniversary hack. So this thread can be a Earthbound/Mother general I guess
>>382671040
>>382671040
I personally don't believe the whole baby theory thing... but I do think the distortion was meant to make the player uncomfortable.
I'd recommend you play Mother 3 before earthbound zero. EB0 is still enjoyable, but it is very bare. Don't miss out on mother 3 if you do go for 0 first.
>>382672480
Is that the texture before it gets warped by whatever it is that warps it in the SNES?
The baby's head silhouette is clear even there. That much must be deliberate.
Whoever desigend that (or reconstructed it) is a bloody genius.
Where we firmly state that MW is the best Elder Scrolls game ever.
