We're about halfway through 2017 and nothing else has even come within the same ballpark. Looking at what's on the horizon there doesn't seem to be anything that will.
Did we get the best movie of 2017 in the first month of 2017?
Get Out was mediocre at best, completely forgettable thriller with a predictable story and bland direction. The only reason to state otherwise is if you're virtue signalling and thought it was 'so relevant to modern day racial tensions'.
>>83640664
The movie was great, and for a debut thriller is what quite a treat. There wasn't some incredibly blunt racial message to it at all, and what is perhaps even better is that there isn't some hoity toity highbrow message being hamfisted in either.

He wasnt tho?
I've seeen like 4 episodes of the show and it's nothing but the two main characters fighting over some relationship drama. Why was this shit so populair?

Typical.
What was his problem?
Cocaine
He was just one man fighting against a tide of degeneracy. Fucking frustrating.

STOICK THE WASTED
Is it me or did the sequel kinda sucked? The narrative was hamfisted and superficial, like they just wanted to give an excuse for having action sequences and lame jokes with nothing meaningful to tell behind. Hiccup and his mom were vomitting cheesy, cringy morals at every turn, the old cast were reduced to background noise, Toothless was just the cute recurrent gag element until the finale and the one dimensional villain only existed to have two sides fight against each other. Stoick did the right thing by walking out early.
What are the chances that the next one will get things back on track?
>>83639320
Wasn't Hiccup's mom kind of a bitch?
>>83639320
The sad thing is that the critics said it was better than the first. The first one was straightforward, but very well executed. The secondhand was even more simplistic, but didn't really have the novelty of the first one. I also just didn't care for any of the new characters.
I also thought it was funny how Astrid became super hot (I guess that was expected) and Hiccup did too. Like Hiccup was supposed to be this dorky kid, and even though he was still skinny in the second one, they made him a little too good looking for the fan girls.
And Stoick was the quintessential stereotypical Viking. The third movie won't be as good without him because now we don't have any main character like that. They could use more Gobber though. Craig Ferguson is really likeable,

Depends on how you look at it. More like she was a crazy woman who left home to be a crazy cat lady but with dragons. I guess she abandon her family and Berk though, which is kinda shitty.

Someone shoop CIA in there
1. Why did Bond decide to kill those scientists in Moonraker by deliberately having them gas themselves to death?
2. Why did Bond frame Milton Krest in Licence to Kill?
3. What was Kamal Khan's motive in Octopussy?
>>83638520
>2. Why did Bond frame Milton Krest in Licence to Kill?
Wasn't that to ingratiate himself to Sanchez? Who's going to mess another drug peddling scumbag anyhow
>>83638520
>1. Why did Bond decide to kill those scientists in Moonraker by deliberately having them gas themselves to death?
Wasn't he testing to see what the gas did? Also they were working on a project designed to kill billions; they were hardly innocent.Plus he has a license to do that sort of thing.
>>83638520
>3. What was Kamal Khan's motive in Octopussy?
Pretty sure they revealed this at the bomb train scene.
He and the general wanted to invade western Europe, his motive was to share the power with the general.
This is sad.
