So I just read the 108 rebuttal of theTPM phantom menace review.
Boy, Plinkett got BTFO so hard. I find it funny that RLM and his fanboys instantly discredited and called it a joke when the guy makes very good points in it. "Look at this loser! Making a 108 page rebuttal of my 2 hour movie review!
He even agrees with some of the point Plinkett makes.
>>84035594
If I have to read 108 pages to enjoy a movie then it's probably not a very good movie.

Name ONE point he got BTFO on

What's it mean?
What was the point of focusing so much on survival when most characters take an ice-bath every 5 minutes without consequence?
ITT: Interesting historical photos related to film
Cool pics of sets, technological inovations, classic actors etc.

poor mick how will he survive this humiliation
So what motivates James Bond to work for MI6? Is it out of duty to his country? To protect innocent people? Because he gets pussy in all of his assignments? Is he just a thrillseeker with a license to kill? Were his parents killed by terrorist/communists/evil geniuses after watching a production of CATS the musical?
Do you think each era of James Bond had different a motivation?
It's interesting that James Bond films rarely delve into what makes James Bond tick. Sure there's moments where the antagonist uses his conscious against him by taking hostages but generally Bonds come in only two states: Suave and slightly irritated. We just know him as an international man of mystery and part of that mystery is never having a psychological examination. We just take him at face value.
So what drives him to continue to be on her majesty's secret service?

Other than a license to kill.
A high life full of sex, booze and gambling on the job.

xD imo
I'd give this 8/10 and I really want Netflix to commission a full series so please watch it and give it a thumbs up. The animation & sound are great and the character designs capture some of Nihei's look. In fact the only disappointing element was Killy's gun being a bit more feeble than in the manga.

It's been greenlit for a second movie.

Why didn't they touch on religion at all? I mean, you'd think Chuck Noland would have developed some pretty interesting thoughts about God and the nature of existence, right?

No, when you have nothing to do but survive you never have time to think about things that aren't real.
The reason why old guys always become holy men is that they have nothing else to do so they have a lot of free time to imagine shit.

>No, when you have nothing to do but survive you never have time to think about things that aren't real.
I think you're vastly overestimating the amount of things someone has to do to survive. I'm not saying in the beginning, but by the time he figured out his fishing and his water accumulation, etc., things would get real tedious, real quick. Plus,it's not like people don't think about these things when they're working.
>The reason why old guys always become holy men is that they have nothing else to do so they have a lot of free time to imagine shit.
Not really. People look to old guys for advice because they've had more experience and longer to think about it all.
