Everyone seems to agree this is the peak of rock music.
What is the peak of every other genre though?
Classical?
Jazz?
Hip-hop?
Electronic?

>>74898648
from my experience, probably tumblr-core shit
All you need is a guitar and three chords of a Ramones song, my friend.
What would be a good 36” electric guitar for a 10 year old, /mu/?
>>74898711
What are you implying
as if quality matters if yr buying for a 10 year old
give it a few years and see if it sticks before you drop major moneys

Honestly, I've noticed a severe decline in interesting and enjoyable guitar based releases, particularly rock sub-genres over the past several years. In particular, it looks like the new wave of indie bands from the past decade either became irrelevant, uninspired, or sold out.
Even last year there were some releases I really enjoyed, but I'm struggling to find albums from this year that don't seem just incredibly derivative of their influences or heavily pandering to wider audiences or just frankly boring to listen to in general. Any recommendations?
>>74898602
I feel like there is a lot of interesting stuff coming out, but still not any truly remarkable or even catchy songwriting. A lot of it seems boring or is just rehashes of older established music.
Prove you're not a pleb and review the last jazz album you listened to.
Doesn't matter how long or short the review, just put forth a concrete opinion and explain it.
I listened to recordings of Gus Arnheim's orchestra.
It had a nice beat.
Are there any other artists that sounds like Hiromi and Tigran Hamasyan? I really love the kind of fusion that basically sounds like a prog rock band if you replaced the guitar with a piano
>>74898448
esbjorn svensson trio maybe
Is this the logical conclusion to music and art as a whole?
>>74898319
>Instrumental hip hop, Plunderphonics
>Is this the logical conclusion to music and art as a whole?
No.
It sure as hell tries to be, by mashing so much content and samples into such a huge package. I really admire that in a way, the "anthology" approach to records is cool. Quantity is underrated compared to quality. Unfortunately, quality's pretty important too, and the production on those albums is shit, the composition is shit, and there's nothing really creative or interesting about it. It's just absolutely mediocre and unnecessary. The only thing it has going for it is its bulk, and even then it goes for a generic aesthetic that defeats that aesthetic appeal of its bulk.
>4 hours a project

How do I stop listening to jazz?
Rock music just bores me these days. Jazz is the other thing that can seem to grip my attention
>>74898038

>>74897852
If this shit works in any capacity then it's the fault of the people buying into rather than her, although at the same time this is basically exploiting retards.
