Genuinely what did he mean by this

I took it as he can't see the life in his/her eyes.
Fuck this album got me through some hard times.
it's a good album. i don't give a shit what anyone else says.
>le edgy
>le angsty
>implying you could make musical sense of edwards's lyrics at his peak/rock bottom
james dean bradfield will never be inducted into the rock & roll hall of fame and this is why the universe is doomed to collapse. we are all being punished for failing to recognize his greatness.
Yeah, it's pretty great
The lyrics sort of go beyond being edgy such that they become even more disturbing. They're very obviously the ramblings of a basketcase, but have a lot more resonance in them than I'd be comfortable admitting.
Honestly though, I think the actual music in this album gets very overlooked in appraisal of it. James (and Sean, people forget he wrote a lot of the music as well) were able to write some of their best, most intense stuff for this album.

This album is edgy done right
Makes Nine Inch Nails sound like children's music
Yes is probably one of the most perfect introductions to an album ever. That riff and the "For sale? Dumb cunt's same dumb questions" always gives me goosebumps. It's amazing how James and Sean managed to create music that fit the lyrics so perfectly. I suppose they just had a good relationship within the band - I mean they were all mates who grew up together.
>AND THEY ALSO SAID
>ITS IMPOSSIBLE FOR A MAN TO LIVE AND BREATHE UNDERWATER FOREVER
Series of Erased Tapes shows near me.
Which one would you choose /mu/?
literally who tier so just flip a three-sided coin
>>74292925
Well, I've listened to Penguin Cafe and Peter Broderick before. Not huge into either of them, so could flip a coin between the other two shows.
Someone on /mu/ must have seen these artist live.
We have the power of fervent obscurism.
Not super familiar with this board, but I assume sharing unknown music that you like is a thing here.
Well, and I want to do just that.
Crosscut is a literally who alternative/trash metal band from Germany (you can hardly even find shit of them online anymore) and I was very fond of their stuff in my teens. Recently I discovered that they had an album that I was unaware off named "nonesizefitsall" from 2003 and I fucking love it and I want to share 3 of my favorite tracks with you.
I feel like they are trashy is just the right way and I think the people here who are into that kind of shit might appreciate it.

Why aren't there more bands with a singer specifically trying to sound like a wicked witch?
I give it a 10/10. You?
but that's not The Slim Shady LP or The Marshall Mathers LP
It's insane how badly the beats on this album aged. Slim Shady LP sounds newer.
So who's going?
how do i get into this club??? tried showing up with bae and the squad to turn up and they wouldn't let us in ><
I honestly can't get over the line about them saving someone from suicide.
>"So this person was literally inches away from killing themselves, then they put on our first album and realised how great life is and therefore, our music save people from suicide."

What does "getting into" an album mean?
>>74292493
you're into an album when you like it so much you wanna hear it again in the near future
>>74292493
perro caca
I've always contended that Foily Foibles marks the libertaion of the musical detial from within the standardized frameork of pop music... The small section proceding the chorous is much more like a compacted execercise in free modal (in this case pentatonic) counterpoint than it is pop-melody-over-chords... And most importantly... Following what I belive is the paramount task of pop music... Its fucking catchy...
