This is actually cool as hell, so I'll go easy on you, but don't shill your own music outside of Bandcamp threads. Delete this thread and I won't report it.

Didn't know this was frowned upon. I'll put it in a bandcamp thread instead. Will delete this after five mins.
Violation of Global Rule 11, and a violation of board rules. This belongs in a Bandcamp thread.

Why is this album so hard to focus on? Reflector and Normal People are both good songs. Cover is pretty sick as well.
>>74481929
JUST A REFLECTION OF A REFLECTION OF A REFLECTION OF A REFLECTION OF A REFLECTION
Second half is way better imho. The first half is really inconsistent honestly
>>74482015
I can't focus on it. Maybe I don't know how to consider it.
Here is my favorite Dubstep Artist. Hope you enjoy
Why do people get so butthurt when you call this a psychedelic album? Brian Wilson said himself for several songs he was inspired by his experiences with drugs, specifically LSD or acid
theres a divide on /mu/ between people who take drugs and listen to music and those who are straight edge reddit posters
>>74481859
Who knows? Arguing about genres in general is stupid and pointless and if you get butthurt about them you should leave.
>>74481859
yeah i dont know, ive heard people call this radio pop to acid rock lol
it doesnt really matter. The term "psychedelic" is vague and has lots of meanings and definitions
a big bulk WAS inspired by psychedelic experiences so i think the people who claim its psychedelic have a genuine argument
Allright. So ive hung around on /mu/ for quite some time, but ive never bothered writing/producing anything myself. Until last week. Got two tracks on soundcloud. Did i do good for it being my first two songs? Or did I fuck up?

I really like it. Being a teenager when it first came out, I might have a connection to it that someone approaching it for the first time today might not have. Certainly a milestone in "emo" or whatever people call it now.
>>74481810
Exactly this. They were the first, and I feel I have to use quotes as well, "emo" band I truly fell in love with. When I was in high school in the early 2000s the emo scene was completely different than what it has morphed into now. It's basically what people would call hipsters now.
Anyways, their first few albums still sound great.
>>74481771
very good album, this image has been my phone background for like a decade lol.
Best rapper alive.
doseone
>>74481741
Is rap just for meme culture now? Im not on some "fuck mumble rap" kick because i love Death Grips and i cant understand wtf MC Ride is saying half the time. These new dudes are just all about flash it seems like. I know rap has been about flash for a long time, but even Lil Wayne had alot more substance than these new guys.

mate what u on about
>In 1990, Ice Cube did an interview with Dee Barnes talking about him leaving the N.W.A. The interview was published, but upset members of the N.W.A who felt they were being portrayed in a negative light. When Dr. Dre ran into Barnes at a record release party, he went after her.
>“He picked her up by her hair and ‘began slamming her head and the right side of her body repeatedly against a brick wall near the stairway’ as his bodyguard held off the crowd with a gun.” When Barnes escaped from him and ran to the washroom, Dre followed her and continued the assault.
>Dre was charged with assault, and stated “People talk all this shit, but you know, somebody f*ck with me, I’m gonna f*ck with them. I just did it, you know. Ain’t nothing you can do now by talking about it. Besides, it ain’t no big thing—I just threw her through a door.”
What did he mean by this?

thank you. ive seen the video already and its what made me ask in the first place haha
i just wonder if the guy playing the tabla triggers the vocal samples in some way, or if he's just that good. because it seems awfully complex to remember it all
Have /mu/ microgenres (oceangrunge, fatwave, fruitpunk) ever broken even a little bit into the mainstream?
>>74481685
Vaporwave
sportswave huge in italy
Oceangrunge was parodied by that frank javee dude or whoever. I haven't listened.
I think fatwave was a thing on Adult Swim for a while? Not sure. Tobacco sounds kind of like fatwave is supposed to sound, I guess.
Who makes music through the ether in 2017?

>Paul
>Bjork

"Run them over then spit on them" says Peter Green (70).
I went too far. I'm just so unhappy
Please God forgive me for the wrong that I do

Lord Commander Peter Green
I'm happy that Peter Green is still alive. He survived, man.
