Everything leading up to the "here we cum" is solid, but personally I feel the chorus is slightly lacking. When they perform the song live, Dean is playing a note repeatedly on the keyboard that puts the chorus to the next level, and you can kind of hear something like that on the recording, but it's lacking. It's so fucking close, but it's not quite there to being solid gold. The ending lacks the power that you see in endings like Misfit Love. I feel like maybe it's the drums. Jon Theodore does good work on the album, but the drums themselves sound soft, or weak. It's like most of the time, you can hardly hear the cymbals, at least as much as you should. Either way, The Evil Has Landed will make my playlist rotation, it's just a tier below Homme's best work.

Listened to the leak, I really like it.
Feet Don't Fail Me and The Evil Has Landed are tight as hell.
