What the fuck is going on? Most of this season has been trash. I mean, I guess it's good that it's taken 7 seasons for FiM to start having strings of bad episodes but this is depressing.

Caballeron was never a killer, just a greedy explorer. I could buy him stealing all the treasure and pinning it on Daring Do, but not setting up a literally Ahuizotl-tier trap for Daring Do, let alone Rainbow Dash.

By the way: I'm not one of those autists who hate all new seasons; Season 7 is my favorite so far, in fact. I just think this was a pretty serious example of mischaracterization.

Alright here's my first encounter with a tier 1 brony.

>hear talking behind us

>turn around, see a neckbeard with mlp plushies sticking out of his backpack sprawled on a beanbag

>decide to play along, he introduces himself as Al Garcia

Unpopular Opinion thread?

Not even Glimmer could have saved season 1 from being the worst season. Consider how season 1 wrote otherwise good characters like Spike or the CMC and you would realize that season 1 would probably botch Glimmer's character as well. Season 1 episodes are overwhelmingly mediocre and it only look back at fondly because of a few decent episodes and there being no horrendously awful ones (although this point is debatable).

Mysterious Mare Do Well and 28 Pranks Later are both better episodes than any episode in season 1.

The show would be better if it abandoned the mane 6 entirely in favor of focusing on either Glimmer and her friends or the CMC and their quest to help people find their cutie marks or a mixture of both of these areas, emphasizing the friendship is magic extends beyond just the friendships between the mane 6.
