Unpopular Opinion thread?

Not even Glimmer could have saved season 1 from being the worst season. Consider how season 1 wrote otherwise good characters like Spike or the CMC and you would realize that season 1 would probably botch Glimmer's character as well. Season 1 episodes are overwhelmingly mediocre and it only look back at fondly because of a few decent episodes and there being no horrendously awful ones (although this point is debatable).

Mysterious Mare Do Well and 28 Pranks Later are both better episodes than any episode in season 1.

The show would be better if it abandoned the mane 6 entirely in favor of focusing on either Glimmer and her friends or the CMC and their quest to help people find their cutie marks or a mixture of both of these areas, emphasizing the friendship is magic extends beyond just the friendships between the mane 6.
