Just the one, here you go.
Unless it turns out there's more than one kind of "G Savior" out there.
What do the event supports you get do?
I play with the mod already so if they're not some absurd shit fuck them
There's a G Saviour mode for space and earth combat, the space one is the one that looks kind of like F91
Also, G-3 Saviour and its... 3? modes? Dunno, ask Shimille.
I probably posted this at some point a while back, but eh.
Fun fact, current count of images snapped of mecha in this game had just exceeded 300.
>Discussion last page.
It is to my eternal regret that aside from maybe Dendoh and Gaiking, I'd I REALLY stretch it, no unit in my game is going to have 15+ attacks.
I don't own a Freedom. I do have a Lancelot, but it's still at like level 20 and I have no space for it.
Mamoru makes you immune to Blind, and he's the last one (only thing past him is a last King J-Der).
By itself, that makes it totally worth it.
The face on this one I find kind of funny. Also, it's probably more something like Dai-Avalon, isn't it?
>Dark Knight used as stage music in this Megaman 4 romhack being played at AGDQ
Both versions of F/Final's Violent Battle, both versions of Shooting Star Cut Through the Night, Holy Lonely Night, some music from Thunder Force III and IV, and Gradius. I might've missed some.
Some Megaman romhack that rigged some new mechanics in and replaced all the music with stuff from other games
I hard Rand's is harder due to all 3 Edel's needed to be dead on the same turn
I losely "LPd" Z2.1 for the first 20missions or so until my external hdd died which had my PSP emu saves.
I named Crowe "Debt" ingame and me lping consisted mostly of shitposting when people called him by name and other ingame shots of crits/funny moments.
Not sure I have what it takes to properly LP something and I dont feel like posting stuff in a forum
I just might start that tomorrow. How hard/easy is Shin ?
Look out, I just made SRC Dungeon better than SRW UX.
(Fuck, no one made a Hunting Horror sprite so transforming into that form is going to have an awkward empty tile)
(I think 3/4 of the units I'm implementing are SS sized because... well, SRC Dungeon itself does a pretty good job of implementing just about every robot series that has sprites done for it)
Demonbane's Metatron, which didn't get into UX because it was VN only
I sunk $40 into it.
If I don't get it after that, then I'll just accept fate and not chase after it any further.
I don't usually gamble, but after odd strings of luck with petty cash via scratch tickets, I had to wean myself off those.
If by some miracle I do win, after making a few purchases, and saving a bunch of it, I'm making anime.
I honestly don't have a need for much of anything. Honestly, being paid a few dollars more would make my life that much easier/better.
>I don't usually gamble, but after odd strings of luck with petty cash via scratch tickets, I had to wean myself off those.
Scratch tickets are made for small entertainment. Put a little money in, get scratchy thing. Occasionally, scratchy thing funds the obtaining for more scratchy things.
It's great entertainment value for little actual cost.
Well, I'm cheap, so throwing 5 dollars into nothing still makes me think about what I could have done with it.
While I'm on a "what I'd do with the money" thing, I'd probably throw something at Banpresto to have them make a really good SRW game, but in a hands-off sort of way.
I really hate it when nerds with money shove their ideas into shit, just because they have money.
Well, my night just got fun.
I return with more SRC pics of "does anyone care about this anyway?" quality.
Apparently Trider is really lucky. Or that 7 in the name isn't just for show.

My collection urges are a bit crazy, I guess this is what happens when I go without SRW for a while and get provided such a vast collection.
Finally implementing actual robots
(Is there a sprite rip for OE's portraits? I only have terrible quality screenshots to work from)
I'm kind of surprised that isn't already in the normal SRC Dungeon game. You would think anything that's been featured in SRW to date would be some of the first stuff they aim to get transplanted into this, since they'd have a basis to go on at least.
Anyway, have one of those many instances of "literally who?" that I feel while collecting these.
Danguard's pretty cool. Holy shit that's a lot of ranged attacks though.
Wild Zoids are metallic life-forms, all Zoids are based on Wild Zoids (even if only somewhat).
Planet Zi DID have a race of human-like creatures though, called Ancient Zoidians now. Humanity cross-bred with them, to the point where both races as distinct things are dead
except for two people in the original show who were woken up from cryo. It's why so many people have those strange markings on them.
Fei Yen didn't, for sure. Her attacks have some serious flaws.
I was wondering what that thing was, I got that in my last run before I knew how the enhancement thing worked and wrote it off as part of a combiner.
Also I've gotten that green mech in the middle in almost every single run and it's always been good. I don't know what it is but it turns into a sword as one of it's forms and that's pretty great, my gut says it's from a VN though.
Yeah, I've gotten him a few times. I guess when your name is Dai Sword, you kind of have to turn into a sword for an attack, it's only natural.
Speaking of, I kind of like the few mecha that have that kind of attack, where they transform into an alternate form as a product of the attack. Optimus Prime has it in his vehicle form, as well.
I can't even make a guess at this one, even the source material is nothing but kanji. Anyone got a clue?
Looking it up, it's from a Hasegawa work. "Gouseiken Dai-Sword".
It can turn into a sword or a dragon.
Lemme use the magic of Google Translate to see if I can't figure anything out.
I can't remember where I first heard the name of this one, but it's one of those instances where I know the name but nothing else about it.
From what I can find, I think it might be that one series that's connected to Kannazuki no Miko, cause I saw that in the cast list. I think it's Kyou something something something, I see it get thrown around a lot in that /u/ /m/ chart.
So will the Z series of games ever get patched english versions like Alpha Gaiden did? When even 50K VNs like FSN have been translated by fan groups i'm kinda surprised this still hasn't been done.
I'll just probably forget about the complicated kanji robot for now, maybe I'll just look into some of the slightly less fancy named machines for now.
For example, this oddball.
Holy shit who drew this portrait? It's like someone dropped acid and splashed a bunch of colours together in Paint.
(Now has a hidden cross-series Combo attack)
Usually patching/hacking a VN amounts to "find a way to extract text" "ok now find a way to insert text without japanese spacing" which still in many VNs is a boatload of work, but easily managable. Many VNs use the same engines, so after you hacked one you hacked a bunch of them and you only need translators.
Hacking roms/isos of games is usually much more complicated, especially when it comes to interface hacking and inserting text into multiple kinds of text bosses and situations without fucking shit up.
>That Al Blaster
Shit, I can actually hear Nobuyuki Hiyama yelling that.
Alkaiser+Compatible Kaiser in SRW when?
Remember when The Edel told Bright he will face a tragedy that should never befall any father?
Of course what he really meant was that the Xi Gundam will be chilling out with Jiron and Shinobu.
天叢雲剣 is one of the three imperial regalia of Japan, later renamed Kusanagi no Tsurugi (草薙の剣).
A name like this really can't well be translated unless you come up with something equivalent on your own... if you care, the name literally means "Sword of the Gathering Clouds of Heaven"
Ok, I think I'll post the SRC Custom Units pack done so far.
Metal Slug (1 Unit)
Megaman (1 Unit)
Night Slave (1 Unit)
Symphogear (3 Units)
Saga Frontier (1 Unit)
Demonbane (1 Unit)
Zoids (1 Unit Group)
In addition, Touhou and Build Fighters have Mokou and Wing Gundam Fenice added respectively. Several of the older units may have tweaks done to them.
I haven't really significantly tested the new units on a non-cheating full playthrough, so these guys are currently "first pass" as far as balance is concerned.
FMD Muramasa - No sprites, no stats.
Baldr Sky/MJP - Has sprites, no stats - I'll do it if someone stats out the pilots and mechs + attacks.
I'll do Wrong!Tetsujin if someone takes a screenshot of his attacks from Z2/3 for reference since only the sprites are available.
As for Touhou, just bench them if it triggers you that much.
I remember getting this guy way back on one of my first runs. Not a bad unit, bit of an odd duck, though.
Yeah, and then the rest of the time you're doing piddly-shit damage.
Find a stage that doesn't end after a certain number of turns (@1 has a LOT of those) and a boss that'll only retreat at an HP threshold or not at all to suicide your battleship on. You can't change pilot assignments around between missions, but it's easy-enough to catch people up. No, really. @1 does not have that really low per-kill cap.
Can't unsee Getter Arc icon as some kind of buff Mr Mime
>and then the rest of the time you're doing piddly-shit damage.
What are you fielding, really shitty non-Newtype Gundams or something?
I've yet to roll Kira yet, but I know he's in there. You got to work your way up from the basic SEED version, though.
In the meantime, Wake Up.
I find it funny how upgrading in this game causes the AGE guys to age several years.
I dunno, though she has an alternate mode of some kind here.
Innocent Venus is what this is from. Never heard of it.
No problem. They have alternate forms I've yet to snap pics of just yet, though.
One of the rare few Transformers in the game. Though in this case I believe he's marked as coming from 2010, and that's one of the Japanese-original series, as I recall.
OK, now this is interesting. That last attack? A combo attack...with DanGaiOh of all things. Did they share a creator or something?
Huh. Talk about really dipping into the obscure. I love it.
They're kind of even with a few variances, such as one with HP Regen and the other with EN Regen. The Toei version doesn't take quite as much moral to get to something resembling a finisher, but taking away combo attacks, both their final moves are exactly the same strength and moral requirements.
SO THIS IS WHAT THEY MEANT FOR THEIR PLANS FOR THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY
At the moment, I see combos for the Neo version that I don't see for the Toei version, however, I believe that if I pulled the Toei versions of Mazinkaiser and Great Mazinger into my current team, I'd see combos for them, so both have potential combos.
I CAN FLY, etc. Though I guess that doesn't really fit for this form.
Granbird's an alternate transformation he can take from his human form, yeah. Then after getting them both, you can power up to great. Both forms also have their own super-mode things before you go to Great Fighbird.
Yeah, judging by the number of attacks and appearance, it certainly seemed that way when you compare base Fighbird against this.
If they're from the same show, I don't believe so. For the Brave series entries, it pretty much all revolves around the main character mecha. If you're not eventually a component for a super mode, you're not in it.
I hate how every male character in Delta so far looks even more of a faggot than Alto. This song would be a pretty sweet battle bgm though
Also, it seems that for some Braves, once you unlock a certain level of combination for them, you can't go back anymore, you're stuck at a certain level of combination.
Dagwon here for example. Unless I'm wrong, there's probably a "base" Dagwon, right? Ever since getting Dagfire here, though, that's the new "base" form. Feel free to correct me if I've got the wrong assumption here, though.
There's Fire En, who's a guy in a suit (think Gai with armor), then Dag Fire, his basic robot, then Fire/Power Dagwon, then they combine to Super Fire, and at pretty much any point Lior (sp?) or Gunkid can combine for an extra weapon.
Joined the SRC meme train and this was my first pull.
Got Calvina and Leona-chan.
Pilot item reward. Top to bottom it's: Critical Rate Up, Hissatsu Range+20%, Add Stun to attacks, Warring Heart (+5 initial will), Break Rate Up, and...something else. I never picked that. At least, I think that's what it is.
Capatin Earth was my AOTS for both seasons it aired.
I don't care about any of the series that get into SRW in a negative way, my only complaint is when one series invades a bunch of distinct games and they do the same thing with it each time.
(I do care when series I like get in though, of course.)
I'd like more manservice in my SRW. At least equal to all the fanservice.
Much like most of the animations in BX, Knight Gundam has a disgusting lack of easing in and easing out, little to no anticipation, no arcs of action, and so-on. And what little of that exists is just done so poorly.
I've long conceded that this fanbase has terrible taste in animations. What with finding so much praise for Z3's Zabanya.
If anything, Frontier is the most varied bunch yet. At least they have different weapon loadouts. The SDF and 7 squads are pretty much just straight-up copypaste duplicates.
Delta seems like it's taking the Frontier approach as well. Everyone has a VF-31, but there's some variety in attack lists.
>What with finding so much praise for Z3's Zabanya.
Anon at the very least most of us here just hate damn near all of Z3's animations.
Then there's that guy who mentioned that FMP's crappy animations are actually accurate to the show, I really want to see this.
Here we go again
I don't mind as much either... IF it is a sequel with perfectly workable reusable assets. Otherwise, it's too much money trying to get too many things to work in too little space.
Anon I don't know what you're talking about because when someone mentions LoveRevo I think about this artist:
I don't give a shit about forcing a Mazinger, Getter and Gundam in every single game - if you can use them well, fine, but mandated series inclusion just gives us stuff like K's "leftovers Mazinger Z"
>Yeah but then who is going to be the smug cunt character.
really? Unable to find a smug prick in SRW?
>And who will be the hardest boy to romance?
Masaki due to being a pain to find him
I guess no one cares about ZoE
Not that I can blame them, Fist of Mars is fucking boring so far, I'll continue another night
I did an LP of the game on /m/, years ago, so I I know this game inside and out already.
In fact, I just stopped using the LEVs at the halfway point, since they can't take out Orbital Frames in one shot with a critical hit.
I mean, I love it, but like said here>>13730122
the gameplay leaves a lot to be desired. It doesn't really change up to make it more challenging, so there's really not much going on in combat other than waiting for x amount of times you have to try dodging.
If you're going to LP it, you do it for the story and that's it. No one is going to be wowed by the gameplay.
The thing is the thread died while I was still doing the story bit, I was gonna just skim over the gameplay since the second stage wasn't looking any more interesting than the first. Not even any good webm material since the attacks are all two frame animations.
Yeah, but you did it on /v/, in today's time. You'd have more success on /vr/, because that's where anyone who cares about that kind of game are at.
Maybe on /m/, you'd have more success.
It had an okay story but the gameplay wasn't any more advanced than the older srws.
although you have to try really hard to get the bad route since you have no right to fail at that stage if you've been using Cage at all.
They don't care and will throw an autistic fit about it.
/vr/ may be technically a better board than /v/ but its quality decreased so much over time I don't even go there anymore and prefer to hang on /v/ more. It's gotten THIS bad.
For the guy who wanted 太陽の使者鉄人28号 (a.k.a WRONG!Tetsujin 28) as a Custom SRC Unit.
Add in a 50% discount for Black Ox too.
Of course I'll only be updating the download files when I have like 3 units made or so.
Not sure how unpopular this will be, but I'm halfway through BX and so far it's been way less interesting than UX in almost every single way despite having "slightly" better animations.
Most people agree that UX is the superior game, and playing through UX I have to agree.
BX is hella more optimized though, it plays much smoother than UX. And if someone is going to say "but Matt, you can't hold that against a game!", no, fuck you, we all hold it against Impact so I can hold it against UX.
Great work, anon.
Though honestly, I'm pretty stupid about this kind of thing, so I dunno if I would ever go for anything other than "official" updates for the game, unless it starts looking like the updates will dry up as much as SRW announcements or that they won't be unit-based updates for a long while.
Ah, my mistake, then, thanks for clearing that up. Power Dagwon also gets its tank mode in SRC.
Interesting, I may have to look over a few units here and there, normally form changes and the like have their own option, but a few like the Impulse Gundam require you to go into the item options to do so.
Interesting that Gunkid isn't actually a requirement for the Infinity Cannon, I guess he's not in unlike Goldimarg or Might Gunner. Lian's not a requirement for his attacks either.
IS IT TIME FOR BASED COMBINATION SEQUENCE?
If the based one results in this, I suppose.
Which OG is least talked about, this guy or the GC originals? You decide!
Oh, right, I hear talk this guy's show is...what was it, divisive, or just generally considered bad? Luckily, the thread won't explode because you and I are the only ones around to care, Matt.
The Getter Robo piloted by a bunch of ninja girls from Getter Robo Daikessen. May helped me learn that it was Getter Rekka for the first form. Interestingly, that particular Getter operates on the "extra mechanic determines strength of attacks" method that we've seen on the EVAs, Magnum Ace, and ZINV's best attack.
Oh, if you just want to use the units, it's actually pretty simple - all it takes is just unzipping the files into the SRC Dungeon directory and starting a new game from the included .eve. I think most people probably have more trouble trying to get SRC running.
>but a few like the Impulse Gundam require you to go into the item options to do so.
Yeah, units that utilize "Frames" and similar mechanics such as the Aestavalis do it through the Item menus.
It was bad but in a way that really attracted a lot of people to shitpost, for some reason.
Huh, looks like there's already another new update to SRC Dungeon. Only notable things I can point out is some changed effects (I'm assuming attack animations) for Demonbane, and something that looks like Black Getter will be able to change into Shin Getter rather than Getter Dragon from Armageddon, I think. Might have to look into it.
Probably would have to be after I'm done overbloating this save file with my rolls and picture-taking, though. Not sure I want to risk it if it turns out trying to transfer saves between updates causes problems.
Also, welcome to the Galatt.
I've had the thing force-muted for the past few weeks, since I kind of like to multi-task and I don't feel anything for the music that it comes with.
If anything, I wish there was a complete version that had all the midis that the game says you should have, considering every unit/series you unlock opens up options in a music test menu that you won't even have because the download doesn't come with them (and the files for download themselves are all over the internet instead of in one good place).
I actually really like F90 from what I've seen of it from a few G Generations. Too bad this game doesn't have that one version where it has every pack shoved onto it at once.
Ok, give me a hand, someone who plays X-O. The five King J-Ders you get come from:
>22000 Event Points
>70000 Event Points
>finishing the last Event Stage
>Limit Breaking a Gaogaigar
>Limit Breaking a Gaogaigar (which you pretty much have to fully buy from the shop)
Right? I'm not missing another one you can get instead of the last one? Because if there is another one, that'd be REALLY NICE TO KNOW before I start my last rush towards 70000 in about half a day. (At 57500 or so, should be just one or two AP Recovery items for that.)
It was level based in Daikessen, if the pilot level was too low they couldn't use the finishers. A few mechs in Daikessen had that, though.
You mean this requirement? I was literally about to ask what it was.
Its Limit Breaking Gaogaigars, like in the Sazabi event. Each time you do that, you get another King J-Der.
I was sort of hoping that there was a way to get the fifth one WITHOUT doing that though. Takes a goddamn lot of E-Tickets to build up four fucking extra SR Gaogaigars.
Damn. Oh well, most likely I'll only Limit Break 3 times then.
As an aside, you don't even need to do it twice to get the last of J's abilities in this one. He gets those at level 50, same as the non-event SSRs. Maybe they'll release him again later...?
I do believe I have all 3 Psybusters now. TV version's the only one whose Psyflash isn't a MAP, plus you have to upgrade for it.
The arrow is a straight free level up for every character you have, even the ones that weren't in the actual battle. The box is a 50% bonus to the RP you received during the level, and I'm not actually sure what the star does so I won't comment on that on the offchance I have no idea what I'm talking about.
so level up it is
and you can only recruit other guys with your leader only?
Yep. Plus Mode you need to convince the unit with the leader, lower HP means higher chance to get him. Cross Mode you have to kill the unit with an attack initiated by the leader, so you can use support attacks.
I kind of said that once. Not that the whole thing was show-accurate, just more accurate than the J/W ones that seem to think the shotgun summoned unholy showers of projectiles with every shot and the monomolecular cutter is some kind of magic chainsaw (it did look like that once, but it was a blade clash with both parties high on lambda drivers)
Still better than when I see people pretend J's were better than Z3. J's Arm Slaves had no animation at all. Just standing still firing weapons and still sprites moving across the screen when the knife's involved. W was a gigantic improvement in that regard.
but seriously the show is a pile of absolute dog shit.
Its central plot point is that the main cast is trying to find ninjas to pilot their robots, which require ninjas to pilot.
The robots which the main characters are piloting.
On top of that, on their adventure to get off Mars and onto Earth, they encounter a group of people near the Martian North Pole who are clearly ninjas. One of them becomes friends with the MC, and joins their cast. No one points out that they just met fucking ninjas until like the halfway point of the show.
Just for elaboration, there's a bunch of bonuses you can get and it's randomly generated every level, but I think the level up one will always be available.
Arrow Up - Level up
Metal Ingot - +20% extra cash
Square Box - Random Item
Blue Crystal - +50% RP (Robot Points, used to buy items from the Bazaar)
Sword - +1 Kill Count to all units
Star - Random bonus
Sometimes you can randomly get an upgraded version of a clear bonus available with a different icon - for example, a Red Arrow Up gives you +3 levels and a Flaming Sword gives you
+3 to Kill Counts instead
On top of this, there's a group of people on the Elshank who want nothing more than to have the MCs dead. Normally I'd find this really stupid, because the MCs are the ones protecting the ship, but honestly I swear to Christ the amount of times you want to wring Joe's neck out is enough that maybe they just consider it worth it. (One of them defects to the enemy side to get away from him, Joe's that bad a protag and only starts getting somewhat better REALLY late into the show. By that point, the other people on the ship randomly decided not to kill him with no buildup)
Hazard Passha might be fun to watch, if every time he was onscreen didn't make you feel distinctly coated in slime from the guy. He's just unsettling to watch.
Oh, and the show's animated like fucking ass, by the way. There's a section of an episode which I swear to god might have been one of Masami Obari's first works, and it STILL looks completely fucking piss.
And did I mention the show has no ending? It literally just ends on a massive cliffhanger that would appear to lead into a finale that never comes. Now, you might say "but Matt, maybe it was cancelled!", and in some cases you might have a point there... but Tobikage has TWO CLIP SHOW EPISODES AFTER A CLIFFHANGER ENDING. WHAT IN THE NAME OF FUCK.
Mech designs are good, to be sure. That's about the only thing good about the show. Of course, then they don't USE some of those mechs... Bakuryu's combined form is used literally two times.
I liked it. Starts a bit slow and depressing, gets better mostly. Still haven't seen Exodus though, saving that for another day. I did see HaE though, and you were all right - Headbutt-chan is the best girl.
>But like, why is he turning the to crystal?
He forgot to tell them he wasn't there please leave a message after the tone and started getting mindfucked until the other Shinn saved the day
It's hard to resist Yukana's sexy voice, anon.
At that point I'd have to say you must be doing something wrong, even with all the carryover kill bullshit Shou manages to say screw you and be my top ace.
I invest parts in Burn just so he can catch up in damage actually.
Different damage formula. Also, damage in 10-upgrade mode is not all that impressive unless you've been feeding skillparts to someone.
I hope you've been setting Zhuge Liang as your strategist unless you need to do otherwise for a secret.
Yeah. It's ridiculously obvious, the show goes from normal 80s terrible animation to THIS.
>Gil Berg pulls out his own left eye
>Oh boy time for Obari's old one glowing eye thing later
>He never gets a second cyborg eye
>But his mech in episode 3 ALWAYS has one glowing eye
The most classic of robots arrives.
Also, the twitchiness of the upgrade system really makes me tilt my head and wonder about things, thanks to a few hiccups. 00 Gundam won't upgrade to Quanta unless you make sure it's in Gundam mode instead of Raiser mode, Zeorymer won't become Great Zeorymer until you check its status, presumably because it changes the Masato graphic and data for the pilot after the first upgrade, and Gaiking The Great doesn't become available until you get the Daikuu Maryuu, and I believe the original Gaiking's Face Open upgrade doesn't become available until you have its Daikuu Maryuu either.
Really makes me wonder if I'm still missing something for GaoFighGar and the final Scopedog upgrade, or if the system's just being fiddly because I can't make Gai stay in Star GaoGaiGar mode and can't make Chirico go back down to the RSC Scopedog.
It has been a while since I played so my memory is hazy, but I though Tenjou Tenga Nendou Bakusai Ken / AKA TK Burst Slash could be powered up by upgrading T-Link Knuckle etc? Or maybe I am confusing it with R-Formation?
