I have heard that this handsome motherfucker actually imagined The Trial to be longer than it is; that it was actually unfinished in the way the Castle is, and that the ending in the book he added prematurely. Is there any truth to this? Sources?

I think it' more 'time' than reading fast (for the most part). When I read, I read for about 12 hours because I have:
a) nothing else to do
b) too much time
And so I can finish a 300-page book in one day. On the contrary, you must only spend a few hours per day.
