Why is it that .rar is seemingly the only archive/compression format used on the vast majority of file sharing sites, but specifically for music?

Whether it's torrents, direct downloads, private trackers, and whether it's mainstream stuff or obscure doujin music, everyone just assumes you'll be working with .rar. Why the hell do I never see ALBUM.tar.xz uploads for example? LZMA2 compression is equal to or superior to rar's. And why the fuck should we still use propietary horseshit like rar when such alternatives are available?

No serious Linux users would select rar when given the choice. So is it just that everyone in these online music sharing communities only uses Windows and doesn't know as much about tech as they think they do?

I noticed that in every single instance the CPU speed increases, so does graphics performance.
Not by a lot, but by some amount regardless.

Even if you're running an i7 6950X at 4.5GHz, overclocking it a little bit, will yield higher FPS.

Does this mean that the CPU is always the bottleneck?

I know this isn't a fucking help board but god damn it I'm a bit frustrated and need some professional help. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to take my new drive (plugged in as an external) and clone everything from my old hard drive (currently locked into the computer) onto it so that I can use it as a new hard drive.What fucking do?

I was dead set on dumping $5k in AMD when it was at $1.50.

Sadly, I'm economically retarded and have no fucking idea how to invest in stocks, so I didn't.
