is there any way to get past copyright audio detection systems that facebook/youtube runs through? like encoding audio and having a plugin decode it ?
5 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>60818685
the most common way is to modify it slightly. crop the image a little, run the first half of it again at the end, clock it up slightly, fuck with the color. A good combination fools contentID on youtube.

why cand i dencode audio and make it sound unrecognizable but have a program able to detect and make it normal ? maybe with a couple seconds delay

Hey /g/, I was wondering since I made my first pc ever last year and had the problem with figuring the best GPU to get because of fan boys, and vega is on the way, How do you figure out what is the best Gpu to get? And from what company like Asus or Msi or Evga, etc..?
8 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
I have the founders edition of Gtx1080ti but look into EVGA FTW3 or MSi verisons of the gpu, look at the speed of the card and differences from the others
>>
>>60818338
If you want to wait, sure wait for vega.

Cards basically come down to the resolution you want to play at, always aim for high/ultra without stupid settings.

Don't bother with anything below the GTX 1050 or the RX 550, lower than these and your chipset can usually do almost as good of a job.
1080-RX 580
2K-GTX 1070
Comfy 2k-Shit 4k-GTX 1080.
4K-GTX 1080ti

Some shills will throw vulkan benchmarks at you and say to get the 580 instead of the 1070 but there are hardly any games that support it.

Brands, everyone on here seems to swear by EVGA. I've had 2 gigabyte cards in a row without a problem. Don't buy the highest end cooler models, usually this doesn't matter and your better off going for a higher model instead of the "Super super clocked" or "G1 gaming OC".

Now tell me why I'm wrong /g/.
>>
>>60819633
Mostly right. For AMD Sapphire is usually a good brand and for Nvidia EVGA is usually good. You will definitely want to check reviews for the specific aftermarket versions though. For example EVGA is usually great for Nvidia but when the 900 series launched it was the worst because they botched the cooler.

I'm thinking of starting some kind of social group in my city for GNU/Linux users. Planning to name it libre<city>. Does anyone have any advice? I want to help people get out from underneath the botnet.

I'd like to go to a good linux users group. But, the only one I've been able to get to so far (Boston) wasn't very good (they didn't know linux standard CLI tools so well)

Uh, Android Studio. If you want to have a good user experience and make apps that people will actually spend money on, you go native. Anything else is a waste if time.

That's all I could find in the stores. Pure white light is fine though.

I want it for typing and some light gaming (I play strategy games like City Skylines, Civilization, Europa Universalis, etc. mostly). Don't care about the latest murder simulators

id honestly recommend not getting a gaming kb. ive had a k70 rgb since it came out bc i fell for the hype in high school and the novelty wore off real fast. i wish i could have a different kb but i already spent so much on this one and its still in working order so kms. also college poverty pretty much bars any sort of purchase like that.

Hey /g/. Just thought I'd start a thread to help each others determine parts on boards were working on/help find uarts.

I'm currently testing the unused header in pic related and I'm receiving output but it's either scrambled or I'm reading at at different baud rate. I've tried 9600 and 11520. Any ideas?

Anyways, what's up with you guys?

Do you have anything to actually look at the digital signal with? Might be useful to see what's actually being sent out, although not sure how much that will help. I've only dealt with UARTs on controllers that I'm writing firmware for.

I'm watching the new Ghost in the shell, and its made me wonder how close we are to that level of functional hologram technology. It's getting there, but it's chunky, slow and not quite intuitive. What's your best guess for how many years it will take to reach that point?

This might pertain to your interests, OP.
Honestly, if someone can make sense of the research and experiment with practical uses for the technology, we could be seeing it used commercially in the next 5-10 years, which I think is a generous estimate. But I could be wrong of course.

yeah that is pretty cool. It doesn't say how far away we are from the goal though. I can die happy when I'm able to manipulate a hologram as complex as Tony Stark's. To be able to "try on" a product you're designing, REAL TIME, and manipulate it to that extent is so fucking legendary. That's what I want to see
