That's correct. Windows does the same thing for the Intel Kaby Lake chips.
You can install 7 or 8.1. You just need to download a third party thing that disables the update block. Someone here will link it.

i have laptop with a gtx 460m gpu. I'd like to get a 4k tv to use as secondary monitor...cause all the extra pixels and space could help with my work. I'm not sure if this gpu will be able to output via hdmi to the 4k monitor at 4k or uhd, on top of full hd.
using debian 9 if that matters.

I would like to overclock my 7700k, but upon asking over the Intel forums on how to one of their community managers told me it would void the warranty. I was then told I needed to buy this "Performance Tuning Protection Plan" to both have the right to overclock and protect my CPU?

Around the same performance as a 1050 Ti. The 770 is a bit faster in older games before Nvidia dropped Kepler, whilst the 1050 Ti is faster in newer ones.

Anyone had a problem like this before? I installed this CPU and motherboard but the voltage, speed, bus speed etc. are all wrong. Everything seems off by .08 and I tried defaulting the bios, reinstalling the bios, manually setting the values in bios but nothing works. Core speed is supposed to be 3.40GHz not 3.4015GHz (200.88 x 17). Been trying to figure this out for hours.
