What's the purpose of Satan? Is it just to scare us into loving Jesus or is there a more important message here. Satan represents the repressed urges of the society, our will to abandon God and to allow ourselves to wallow in our own degeneracy freely as the king of our tormented dominion. Everyone is a devil and has their own God who's tormenting them for leaving him. What about Lucifer worshipers? I suppose that they just want a better alternative than the lie that is eternal bliss, for nothing could remain in bliss as everything is in flux and sometimes you feel the love sometimes you feel the fall. Where does Satan show up most in our lives? Probably with our family, our work, and our relationships really. All these people that you have to deal with. Hell is other people. This song reminds me of Lucifer, The Captain by Leonard Cohen. Because it's really him and the demiurge who are in charge of what happens in the world. God does not care enough to save us from ourselves, and Lucifer enjoys watching us suffer. I'm trying not to be too much of an edgelord talking about Lucifer and stuff. The goal is to see Christ as your friend, as someone you can depend on when you're having a bad trip. "I'm on the side that's always lost against the side of Heaven, I'm on the side of snake eyes tossed against the side of seven." That's Lucifer, and it appears attractive in the song to be on the captain's side, even though he's failing. Why do we enjoy being on the losing side? It's because we believe there's a good fight to fight and we're gonna try to win no matter how hard it is. Even if it kills us. Especially if it kills us cause then we know it's worth it.

It seems like there's a lot of hard work that needs to be done, and that's always going to be the case.
