I see footsteps walking down a hallway and hear music reminiscent of one of a transition scene in a serious movie. Looking at the floor, it appears to be a hospital...I see white tiled floor. The lights are off for some reason. I see a hand reaching towards a doorknob, turns, the door is opened. Inside is a...well, it's a lewd scene...

The door is then closed, and I see the face through whose eyes I'm seeing smashing itself repeatedly against the wall.

So, this one seems pretty straightforward. It seems you'll go through some trouble and put yourself in some degree of discomfort to go after him, but you'll likely find that he's already got something going on with another girl. At the point when you find out is after you've jumped through a few hoops to get to him. The resulting emotion is obviously anger and jealousy, as indicated by the whole smashing your own head against the wall thing. That and I heard crying, so...it seems this whole thing would be prone to happen, not when it's a silly crush, but after the crush grows enough to impel you to jumping through those hoops.

As soon as I pulled the first card, my first reaction was “trip.” I'll just go with that. It seems like you'll be making a trip that you have some high hopes for. It seems like a casual thing, but the fact that you are more focused on how fun it will be than on preparation leaves the whole preparation bit lacking. My initial impression is that you'll be fine dealing with 'the fallout' (II of Pentacles indicates balancing this concern with daily, mundane tasks in the meanwhile) until you realize what you got what you wanted out of it (That you recognize you have achieved it, or something which was supposed to occur as a result of it, does). Then Moon Rx. I got an impression of 'struggling with the gains in knowledge this should have brought you', not fully realizing the implications of the success.

Any condition of spiritual attachment within an inanimate object would be more an exception than a rule, and it would likely (but not necessarily) be the result of deliberate designation. As far as personalities, the spiritual contact argument explains it very neatly and simply, but an alternate theory could simply have to do with the creation of something resembling a primitive personality through contact with energy.

In Chaos Magic, the creation of sentient or semi-sentient beings is well-theorized, and arguably attested. There is theoretically a way to create a sentient energetic being through energetic alchemy as well. Focusing on the concepts of alchemy, elements in close proximity under pressure would cause a reaction to occur. It would hold, therefore, that energy in close proximity and high density would likewise cause a reaction to occur when pressure is applied, this being something as simple as the energy involved in reading.

It's all theoretical and conceptual, but the explanation makes sense to me, especially given that the tool can often reflect certain aspects of the owner's own personality. My set of runes, for example, is rather cheeky, blunt, and sometimes rude.
