My first thought at seeing the King of Swords is that there might be another man involved (pls take this reading with a grain of salt I haven't read in a while), I don't know if being clarified by the Page makes it literal. More true than you know anon. I've had girls in the past try and take advantage of me because of the way I acted, specifically to one I had liked at the time, in hindsight, I was naive and stupid, but so was she. I do try to keep going forward despite all my problems that hold me back that leave a bitter taste in my mouth. I'm definitely trying to fix the problems that I can fix.

Readers, I'm never in time for reads. I'm a reader myself, but I prefer others to read me and me others, and if you too are a reader you'll understand the many reasons why. The objectivity and lack of bias being a huge component.

And I'm busy so I don't get a lot of time to come here. Anyway what I wanted to ask was; anyone got any tips for self-reads?

It took me a LONG time to be able to read for myself reliably. By a long time, I mean that people were telling me for months about how amazing I am and all that, but I still could not make the slightest bit of sense of a reading for myself.

I ended up having to experiment with different methods that relied less on intuition and more on well-defined meanings. In my case, I had to pick up cards, because scrying was way too unreliable for me to read for myself. Even still, it made very little sense sometimes. Whenever I read for myself, I use spreads that utilize a lot of cards with positions that have very narrow scope of meaning. Whereas I might be able to read for a stranger perfectly well with 5-10 cards, I would use 15-20 cards for the same reading for myself, More commonly, I use multiple spreads, each one addressing a very specific aspect of the question. For most serious readings I do for myself, I draw 10 or so spreads and make note of connections between them, as well as patterns I notice.

And still I find I have a hard time reading for myself sometimes. Usually I can read for myself better than inexperienced readers can read for me, but sometimes I just can't do it, and the cards I pull just make no sense. For times like that, you can always trade with another reader. I guarantee you someone is going through the same thing.

It's... I don't know how I should put it. Sometimes cards just come out easily, sometimes they seem to resist, sometimes it feels like I'm needing to focus on one specific part of the cards, and this was one of those moments where I wasn't certain what the feeling meant. As for the spread thing, I stopped bothering writing them down because I switch from one to another depending on the question. It's generally three cards for the main ''meat'' of the question, one card for advice and warning, one card as to how they should focus on the situation, and future or eventuality.

I am using the Thoth deck. Seven of Disks means a dead stop. No movement. Stillness. Darkness, even, but that's more from the art than anything.

I did a quick one for you, and it was strange to see a pair of cuffs, just hanging there in the darkness. They seem to be engraved with magic, or potential, and the landscape around them start to form into something more comprehensible. Green grass, some hills, light, and a yellow flower going through the chains, upwards. What seems to disturb me the most is the way the flower is growing. Instead of growing up and higher and higher, it starts to bend, growing up from the stem, but the petal part itself seems to go down, until the flower just... snaps.

It would fit with the Seven of Disks interpretation, but I have not the slightest clue if this is hinting to you ''snapping'' or whether it's a bit further in the future.

A sure way to tell if someone's a slut is by the amount of clothing they wear. In your example, just because she's wearing a flannel shirt and pants doesn't mean she is, but if she was wearing some very transparent or thin shirt with very short shorts, then more people would consider her to be more of an attention whore, and potentially promiscuous. If someone doesn't wear skirts and dresses, but they're still dressed properly, then they're neither too feminine or slutty.
