Can /x/ redpill me on anti-depressants and their rise in american culture? Do you believe theyre meant to control and dumb peoples minds for conditions that don't necessarily exist?
Ive suffered from what I believe to be depression since the 7th grade. Yet i've always refused to see a doctor regarding it because taking my "daily happy pills" just feels like giving up in a sense. I cant really explain it. I also believe that life is just hard. Plain and simple and everyone feels down, some are just better at concealing it.
What do you think /x/? Doesn't it concern you how easy it is for doctors to push these medications onto people when they may not need it? Who benefits beside big pharma from this?

It's a combination of the government wanting to control the populous and it gives big pharma another way to shake you down for pills you have to buy on a regular basis.
Besides, the concept of anti-depressants is shit in and of itself. If someone hit you over the head every day, you don't take painkillers so it doesn't hurt so much, you make them fucking stop. Depression is a natural response from your body to tell you that something is wrong in the way you're living your life.

Ive never though of it like that. This gives a new perspective. So you don't believe there are chemical imbalances with some? I do agree with you on most points but for most depression is such a bitch for most because you cant determine whats causing it. Its not as simple as removing the threat of the someone hitting you like in your example

Don't know what happened, I don't usually have hallucinations. I blame it on the abilify but having sleep paralysis awake was freaky fucking shit. I also had a dream later I was in the theater and a loud gunshot woke me up.

Anyone here know about deep space? Like the furthest reaches? A friend of mine got a really weird message on his voicemail and played it back for me earlier today.
Apparently it's some kind of radio recording or transmission of an astronaut very deep in space, further out than any human has ever been. It wasn't all clear but it seemed to be little snippets of a log or audio diary or something.
100% sure the friend is fucking with me but someone is probably fucking with him. Is there any evidence that the further into deep space you go, the more the laws of physics or reality change? Or at least, differ from ours here?

I had a crazy dream. I woke up in some kind of jelly or field from which I could not move and saw the shapes of other people around me. I freaked out a lot internally and tried to wake up but failed over and over again. I saw odd creatures with cat-like features prowling around the rows of other chambers like mine in a factory like setting, holding something that resembled a clipboard but was bulkier and made noise. They kept peering into the different units of the others and once they got to mine I saw they had long grey hair and I was unable to tell the sex of the creature, it was beautiful though. they came through with some odd looking syringe and the moment they tapped me with it I woke up in bed.
My entire body was covered in sweat despite it being winter here and I just want to vomit. I wanted to type this out quick before I forget. Goddamn am I scared.

My family hates that I do solo hikes around Wisconsin. They say that I am asking to be murdered by going hiking alone. There have been a couple famous murders with hikers being killed on trails, and bodies are found every once in a while trails around the state.

no, I solo hike all the time. It gives me the chance to clear my head and think and honestly the lonely serenity of it sort of gives me this creepy adrenaline rush
Just be sre you tell people where youre going specifically, stay in that area and bring adequate supplies like a compass, cellphone and a gun for any animals or people who could be a little dangerous

So, I've been hearing these weird vibrating resonating tones in sleep paralysis lately. A high pitched sound emanating in my head that only gets louder as I try to wake up? Usually accompanied by some kind of pins and needles/vibration kinda feeling throughout my body.
Sometimes I hear people talking as well, except I can't understand a word they're saying. The language almost sounds english, like I should be able to understand it... but I just can't?
Anyone get anything similar?
