Awhile back I remember reading or watching something about homo sapiens being as successful as we were vs other time-period hominids because we risked our lives to explore. I remember there being something about crossing oceans without knowing what would possibly be on the other side and how many people must have died in the attempt, but how important it was for our survival and thriving as a species because we tried anyway. I vaguely recall a comparison being drawn to space colonization and exploration.
I can't remember if it was a comic, a video, a speech, or an opinion based article, but I can't remember enough about it to make a google search that doesn't come up with something completely irrelevant to what I'm looking for.
I just was really pleased by it and it moved me. Hoping one of you guys knows it off hand.
Pic only arguably related.

Do self bumps work?
>>117637
If anyone can even suggest alternative search terms or vaguely recalls even one detail about this that I do not it would be greatly appreciated. (Like, if I even knew the type of media it was that would help immensely)

I've seen that video. I think it was a video on Vsauce, if I'm not mistaken.
I took this took pictures today. But i didt found anything better to keep the cycles stood, can anyone please delete the brick from both pictures ?
>>117614
I'll try.
just leave the brick. its gonna look weird when its just standing upright with no support.
This is more for the very-tech-savvy person.
I'm talking about Android apps. Let's say there's a game that's server-sided, where I collect a bunch of cards. I want those card images extracted. How would I go about doing so?
I've tried googling, but I'm getting nowhere. The best I could do was get ILSpy to show me the source code of the apk.
Any kind of help is appreciated.
I forgot to mention that my local client does not have the images stored (probably).
I checked res/drawable folders and shit, but didn't find anything.
It uses Unity engine, btw.
so you want to get cards from a game for free?
>>117620
No, just a png or whatever image format it is
Who can put Dwayne Wade's face on a pic like this?

Hi guys, I feel like shit and I'm depressed af, should I try and talk with my best friend about it without her thinking that I'm a pussy?
>Pic not related
>>117531
Stop being 15 for starters.
Are you trying to get in her pants? If so, either commit and just ask her, or stop kidding yourself. If not, then absolutely just talk to her about it. That's what friends are for.

Help strangers.
Write about a time when a person convinced you to do something you weren't sure about. (How Lady Macbeth convinced Macbeth) What did that person do or say to persuade you? Explain how that person's advice helped or hurt you. Should you have made your own decision?
If you cannot think of a time you were persuaded, then write about a time you persuaded someone.
3 Paragraphs
Intro-Discuss element of persuasion
Body-Explain your particular situation
Conclusion-Draw a conclusion about being persuaded
you again.
you're starting to get pretty meta here. convincing someone to do your homework about convincing someone to do something for you...
>>117468
Well i can tell you about that time when me and my "friends" kidnapped someone but that wouldn't go too well with your homework i guess.
>>117479
Please do so anyways.
Would anyone like to help ? Would be eternally grateful.
Harmless self bump

Any good anime/manga with some seriously cool heroism in it? I need something to lift my spirits.
Hoshi no Samidare.
Symphogear. Lots of Big Damn Hero(ine) moments. Some grimdark parts, though.
Also the third season was widely criticized, particularly the second half.
2
[Bodacious / Miniskirt / Mouretsu] Space Pirates
(several variations on the title)
Another fun heroine actioner. Not a lot of heavy action, mind you, more of an "adventure" story. No blood and death, IIRC.
Can anyone tell me if a Zotac gtx geforce 960 graphics card is compatable with a M5a78L-M/usb3 mobo? I have both and so far im met with black screens and no bootups im not sure if im just doing something wrong or if its a hopeless endeavor.

That isn't my motherboard I dont know if usb3 park makes a difference but their two different motherboards alltogether
I have a midterm tomrrow and these are the only problems I don't get.
I don't have it in my notes. I was wondering if someone could explain how he got the answers.

You need to know the polar coordinate equations.
http://mathworld.wolfram.com/PolarCoordinates.html
That's all you need to know for the first one.
For the second one, he takes arcsin of both sides.
arcsin(-1) is 3pi/2 + 2pi*k, so theta is (3pi/2 + 2pi*k)/3
1) r=2cos[theta]
r^2 = 2rcos[theta] <-- multiply r both sides
x^2+y^2 = 2x <-- left side: r^2 = x^2+y^2 (pythagoras) right side: rcos[theta] = x (cos[theta]= x/r)
...
After that it's algebra. I'm assuming hte previous part was what you didn't get.
