Just got this cutie, which synchronized... with my adamant Marowak. yeah fuck this, I tought that the bug had been resolved ? Can't really complain since I've got it at 47 SOS, but still, it's pretty irritating.

last shiny I got was braixen and I'm so glad bank came out when it did, my plans of sending stuff over worked out perfect.

I'd say drampa is my favorite of this gen, I love the orange body and black eyebrows. plus I was lucky enough to breed one before getting the charm.

Have you guys been sending out bean bottles? Cause I am pretty damn certain they help. I've hatched 9 shinies in S/M so far, two of them without even meaning to, while I was prepping other mons, and I've been sending bean bottles every day. I have under 250 hours total and probably less than 1500 eggs total. I've been getting lucky as fuck this gen and I'm convinced that's part of it. I never got more than 2 in X/Y and that was after 1.5k eggs altogether, with over 300 hours.

I've been extremely lucky this gen with masuda. I got a drampa within a week of the game being out and no charm, and since then I've bred a few more while I never got even one in XY after breeding a good thousand.

I'm hunting for an articuno on VC yellow, you just have to check the stats after each battle to see if it'll be made shiny on transfer. Hopefully i'll be able to fit it into my mono-ice team.

I believe there is some karma to certain things you do in the game. For instance not putting trash into wonder trade and actually putting decent mons into it. When I first got bank and started breeding my ralts for shinies, I took the first box, got one of my mons infected with pokerus from Y, infected all of the ralts with it, and wonder traded all of them. Hopefully it will be enough to appease Masuda.

Recently RNGed to get a shiny 6IV Rotom because SOS chaining just hates me for some reason.

I've tried SOS chaining 7 times now, all of them have reached 800+ encounters and I still have yet to encounter a shiny.

No, you actually have to replace it though for the chain to continue.
This anon>>31575771 is wrong, as it depends on the Pokemon call rate for the chain to continue, not if they are the same evo family (e.g. Oranguru calls a Trumbeak, the Trumbeak can continue the chain by itself). However many SOS only pokemon have a rate of 0 (like Mareanie) so those can't call.

I've been soft resetting Yellow for a shiny Pikachu (and, if it works, plan to do it for the other starters in game). According to what I've found, Attack, Speed, and Special have to be 10, and Defence has to be one of certain variables.

Just SOS. So far I've caught 31 shinies in Sun, and 30 of those were SOS. It's easy and you can fill the dex while you're at it.

I have been breeding since a week or two after release. I have no idea what number I am on. Last I counted was 25 boxes, but that was early December. I have enough 6 IV Mimikyus that I EV trained a whole team of them for shits and giggles.

At this point I am even willing to trade for it, questionable legitimacy or not. Been trying to hunt for one on GTS, but have gotten nothing.

Haven't been commenting on here so I figured I'd sum up the month. Got a shiny Sandygast from wonder trade and hatched a shiny Dewpider after 392 eggs with Masuda Method and no charm on Friday the 13th. Then 6 days later I got a shiny Crabominable from wonder trade, a shiny Silvally from GTS, and a shiny Honedge hatched after 157 eggs still using Masuda Method with no charm.Two days ago I caught a shiny Rattata while searching for a Zygarde cell. Yesterday I got the charm so I'm hoping I'll see a lot more shinies in the future.I think I'll go for a shiny Dhelmise next.

This took quite a long time, but I finally got it after two chains and more than 450 Pokémon seen. It's jolly and have lighning rod. Sadly, both Attack and speed are the stats where it's not maxed out, and both are pretty bad, but I can't really complain, since hyper training is a thing.

I don't think it matters the mon changes and the chain goes on regardless of which slot it's in, meaning you can knock out the first encounter to not risk it running out of pp and the chain will keep going(someone correct me if I'm wrong) Look up a guide it's really easy
